And the preponderance of evidence shows how safe and effective the covid vaccines are.  It's undeniable to all but the "most challenged" people in our society.  The fact that anti-science, anti-vaxxers died at such a bigly rate vs science believers is all that needs to be shown.

Well to be fair I think there should be a distinction here.

I’m sure some of the mistakes we made, including pushing the vax for little kids and vaccine mandates for college students which weren’t really necessary, are part of the reason for reduced uptake in other childhood vaccines.

But anti-vaxxers (real ones) are using it to push their agenda, and I’m sure have also contributed to that decline.  I can’t even believe some of the stuff I read from crazies on twitter.

Agreed.  We really botched the messaging on this vaccine, but the trolls took this and spun it into complete bs.  Died suddenly is a thing on Twitter.  People actually think that the vaccine is the cause of all death right now.

Nah people are wondering why healthy people are dying of "natural causes". Also botched the message is an extreme understatement. We went from 96.4% safe and effective with only two doses. To it doesn't stop you from getting it, doesn't stop you from passing it and you need a booster every 3 months.

At the VERY best they say the covid vaccine doesn't make the sickness as bad as it could be. Yeah... "botched message"  :eyeroll:

My med school doesn’t require us to get the boosters. Had to get the initial one to work on floors in the hospital but haven’t had to get anything else. I don’t plan on it either. Unlike the idiots in this thread, I actually use common sense and science to make my decisions. When even Pfizer admits they didn’t even do short term trials it should be a red flag to not get it
