my take is after a crushing week, this feels like an expected "dead cat bounce"... just for the market as a whole. I guess there could be some sentiment of a buying opportunity with so many stocks setting 52 week lows but I have a feeling we see red on again on monday IF.... big IF... the markets hold their gains through the afternoon.  

Im hoping they hold those gains and would love to be wrong about the start of next week, since I'm underwater on a few of my stocks. I'd certainly love that potential market runup into the fall.

The people I do worry about are those who are about to retire or those already retired on a fixed income while there investments aren’t making or maybe losing all with rising inflation.

You'd be shocked at the number of people in their 50s and 60s who are on the Work Until They Die Plan. 

One couple I know put all of their eggs in a bed-and-breakfast that also has a restaurant. Zero savings and nothing for retirement.

They were so focked when COVID hit, because they had nothing to fall back on and no revenue coming in.

I honestly had no idea what I was doing, but god did I get lucky when I sold more than 1/2 my portfolio at the start of august and put it into my online savings. Made $75 the 1st month. That is like stealing in this market.
