In all seriousness: Shohei Ohtani.

Wrong.  Great baseball player, no where near the greatest athlete.  He is likely not even the greatest athlete in the MLB.

Ohtani is great. Let me know when he gets close to Ruth.

Phelps???

I'd have to go with Michael Phelps.

It would have been Lance Armstrong for me had he not been juiced.

Oh. So if he stopped playing today he would be a first ballot HOF’r? You’re better off using your butt boy Bonds.

Fat boy Ruth started 2 games for the Yankees.  Why did fat ass stop pitching if he was so great?

They didn’t need him too. They only went to 7 WS with him. Let me know when Ohtani makes the watered down playoffs.

This thread, post #4 Bo Jackson video posted by Frank - I liked that post. Noticed I didn't comment in this thread so saying it now, Bo Jackson is my answer and the answer.

If stats matter, nobody has ever dominated their sport\position the way Jerry Rice did. His career TD & receiving yards numbers are comical and will never be touched.

I consider him the greatest football player that ever played because stats do matter.
