Schools rarely- if ever- have celebrated it outside of the school bands participating in the local parade that day. it was kids being bullies to LGBTQ people and the usual suspects celebrating it. Even still-if the anger of no Memorial Day celebration was the root cause- there are better ways of expressing that then tearing down the Pride flags.

This is a good point. Completely fair. 

I suspect part of the complication here is in order for Team Blue and the radical left to attempt to "justify" the sexual indoctrination strategy in public schools, particularly for those who are very young, it requires a strict adherence on the propaganda that "Children Have Real Agency" 

And they don't. Not legally. And nothing in the science would defend that a young child has the cognitive / critical thinking skills / self awareness to make these kind of complex decisions about their gender or identity or even something like drugs and/or surgery. 

This is why the MSM will try to shift the "blame" right on the kids, and not on their parents or their household influence. Because they are forced to stick to the 'narrative', however to do so will only incite more parents, because you can't treat children like adults. You can't hold them to adult standards. The actual law, long standing public policy, tradition, science and pragmatism makes that impossible. 

In that regard, I agree with context. 

"Adults", those who have reached the age of majority, should know better. They should not infringe on the free speech of others. Basic civility and basic decorum should be the rule. 

But given all that, "children", those who have not yet reached the age of majority, should not be held to the standard of adults. They should be given the initial benefit of the doubt that they don't know better to start, when we are talking acts that have no criminality, and that one should investigate the influences around them. 

Put if this way, if America starts to believe that children should be treated like adults and have the full agency of adults, because that's the fastest way for Team Blue to indoctrinate public schools via our own tax dollars, then all hope is truly lost. 

I believe in decorum. I also believe that if no one else is there to defend you, then it's on you, unfortunately, to be the last line of defense to defend yourself. No one else was there to defend these kids.

With kids, I believe there's some complexity and context there. One of the great and interesting things about kids is they can say certain hard truths that many adults will avoid discussing or deal with or handle. This situation might be one of those cases.

This is not Communist China.   These pride flags and decorations are government propaganda not free expressions of students.  If governments are posting pictures of their Dear Leader in every classroom with slogans supporting his leadership, it is BS.  All these pride celebrations support all people except straight/white/Christians and preach equity (communism) over the American values of freedom and equality.   These messages being pushed by leftist are abhorrent to every value this country stands for.  These messages are not what the citizens want.  They are what the government wants.  Citizens have free speech, not government.   The people are speaking.

What brave and inspiring kids. I find it particularly delicious because it happened in uber-blue Massachusetts before a woke school board and with school faculty committed  to the Alphabet cult. Until this happened, my instincts have been to give up on saving/protecting kids in blue communities as not worth the effort of saving and to shield my kids from having the woke infection spread to them.
