There was one near the bowling alley that my wife and i would rarely eat at, considering I quit our bowling league 6 years ago i know that it has been 6 years since i have eaten at a subway.

I am not saying i never will never eat there again, but who knows.

I love Subway and wished one would show up in Panzhihua when I was there, would have been there frequently, like I did when in Chengdu. A rare treat I only got twice a year or so at the Kunming airport.

I haven’t eaten subway in many many years but the only 2 things I got were tuna (hero) and Buffalo Chicken on flatbread- cold cuts were terrible- I’m a boars head or no cold cult kinda guy.

Ok. Fair enough. My problem with fast food places is you don't know if you're getting something that's been sitting around for an hour or something just cooked. I usually only go when they are busy and in turn and burn mode.

Gross. There was a local place in the late 1970’s that 2 sisters won or inherited $$ and they open their own sandwich shop (they were Italian) and made homemade meatballs and it probably sounds gross now but my thing was meatball hero with the works lettuce tomato onion peppers both green and jalapeños salt pepper oil and vinegar- was awesome- both sisters reminded me of Flo from Mel’s diner. 

Business didn’t last long. Was a mafia controlled area and they didn’t play along.

i remember when foot longs at subway were $3.35.  Then they jumped to $5 and trumpeted it, when it was a huge price increase.  Now a sub is at least $10 but I can buy 3 bananas at the grocery for less than a buck.

modern cold cut subs are ALL terrible.  there was a massive decline in quality at some point.  i miss REAL cold cuts from like the 1970s.  i mean theres a country mile of difference.  even boars head is total garbage.

Subway was one of the first to voluntarily show calorie counts and had a lot of sandwiches under 500-600 calories. Unless you’re trying to lose weight and need help counting calories I don’t know why you’d eat there. The sammiches are turrible.

I used to get subway quite a bit when I was 16-19.   They had the 5 dollar footlongs.  I swear the bread is a little smaller now.  And back when they were 5 dollars and you asked for a veggie they would pile it on.  Now you ask for jalapenos and they will count out 5 in a line along the 1 foot sub.  You basically have to ask for more with each add on and pay over twice as much.  Night and day how much they cut back on letting their employees be generous with the add ons.  

I rarely stop these days.  Maybe twice a year.

Subway has tried twice to find a foot hole in NJ and failed both times.  There may be some up in North Jersey with all the NY wannabe's, but down here in the south, there are just too many quality Italian deli's that have a much better product at a cheaper price for them to survive.  Any that are here, are likely to be in toursity type area's.

Dude, there are 200 subway stores in NJ.  Yes they suck, yes better local delis are infinitely better, but there are enough tools here to support these businesses.
