I'm calling BS on this narrative. As a refugee from the other site that came well before their political forum got nuked, why the fock would they come here just to mash the report button? The suspensions doled out over there were so stupid and haphazard; there was absolutely no consistency.

I came here because I was sick of playing nice with a-holes, and then getting suspended for it. Here, I can give sh1t right back to the a-holes.

It’s a weird phenomenon.  My guess is it has to do with getting too many wedgies and  swirlies in school from the cool kids.

Tim doesn't strike me as a reporter; he thrives on the attention he gets from his trolling, extreme posts.

Squistion, eh, mebbe.  He seems to lack nuance.  I could see him reporting threads because that's what he has been trained to do.

But my money would be on somebody from FBG who rarely if ever posts, a lurker, a person who lacks the courage to participate in the discussion and instead influences it by reporting it.

Ive reported exactly one person during all my time in this forum- right when I started posting here- because he posted personal information about me and I requested it removed. Back at the FBG I did report people a few times, at the urging of the moderators. I regret that in hindsight. 
 

Over here I haven’t reporting anyone or anything since that one time over a year ago now.

I would love to see a report of who uses this report button here and who did over at FBGs. I think there’s a whole lot of “thou doth protest too much” going on.

it is.  they talked PERSONALLY to the owner at the other site regarding getting banned or their self held position that people were unfair to them.  Squid loved to just MASH that report button.  No wonder Joe shut it down.  Of course we had James Daulton, N/K/A Wade Garrett, Beachboy, et al doing the same crap.

I've never used the report or ignore functions here. I'm capable of choosing who I wish to interact with or not. 

It does seem as if the use of the report function has taken an uptick since the influx of FBG's refugees arrived. I know I've had a post deleted by a moderator recently and that had never happened before.

I didn't report him, but the information did get removed.
