Amazon service continuing to decline.

Anyone else having an abnormally high number of packages lost and not show up?   It's basically USPS. The UPS ones all get here.

Yes but it's not Amazon's fault entirely. The USPS is not equipped to handle the huge number of Amazon orders that are thrown at them. They need more 3rd party delivery services.

USPS has no problem delivering amazon. The problem is it’s a losing proposition financially. The OT cost required to fulfill the package commitment makes it a loser. Amazon is the culprit for delays in even getting the packages to usps facilities after target times for the “last mile” delivery. Happens a lot with UPS dropping their last miles off as well. Also amazon shifts bulkier items out of their stream into the post office which makes it more difficult for letter carriers and eating up delivery space. 
But know this which is crazy, your mail will be delayed before an amazon package

The past month we’ve had 2 amazon packages get lost in their system and was categorized as weather delays and then finally lost. I cringe when I see they’re delivering, the delivery personal seems like a crew of bad hombres. They even have weird windows , 4-8 am and 6-10 pm

It wouldn’t matter if Raider was a believer.  God takes no active role in our daily lives.  He laid out the dominoes and tipped over the first one.  The rest of time is just watching them fall.

Yep.  I ordered 3 small things with expected delivery last Saturday. One arrived on schedule, the other two keep showing delays. 

I just checked the Amazon app and the last known status was pickup in Minneapolis on 1/26. It also said if I didn't get them today I could cancel my order.  I've done that at least once before, which sucked because what I bought was time sensitive so I ended up without it.

This time tho, I really want my stupid impulse purchases.   I'll wait it out at least this week and see what happens.

Problem is 2 fold. 
1.) I ordered other items that arrived in Brooklyn Park, MN on the same day these 2 most recent items did, and the other items moved right along and got delivered. 
2.) There was NO severe weather between Brooklyn Park MN and Fargo ND between or on the date I ordered and now.   It's been like spring the past week.  Highs in 40s. No snow. No rain. No nothing.

Around here, a HUUUUGE issue is the somalian  amazon drivers getting stuck in the winter.  They have zero clue how to drive in snow, where to turn around, where not to drive in snow etc.

50% of the stuff on Amazon is from 3rd party sellers.  Avoid buying chit from unknowns who have the responsibility for getting it shipped out by making sure it's at least "Shipped by Amazon" and even better "Sold and Shipped by Amazon".  Otherwise it's no different than buying from some jerkoff on Ebay.

By doing that you're pretty much making sure that you only buy stuff that's at least shipped by Amazon.  Meaning they already have the goods and some 3rd party seller isn't responsible for the shipping.

Yes, or their "same day" deliveries do not arrive on the same day. I've had this happen several times. 

 

They used to offer you some kind of credit when this happened; or extend your prime membership out a month for free, etc. Not anymore. They don't offer anything that I know of, unless you take the time to reach out to customer service and all of that.

Yep same day delivery has went away about two years ago or more, delivering to wrong places is happening a lot in my town. Now Prime just started commercial adds yesterday. Their stock has to be down. Honestly they seem to start turning to sh!it since Jeff step down.

Thanks. I've suspected something like this; I need to be disciplined about looking for it.

Phoenix is a major warehouse hub for Amazon, so 95% of the time stuff arrives super quick.  I regularly get next day for free (although I wonder if this is because they know they'll have a truck in the area already).
