I left out Led Zeppelin.  That was an unforgiveable oversight.  I did not go with the Dead, Jefferson Airplane, CCR, the Band and others as I was addressing British Rock.  I suppose Elton John deserved mention too.

In music, there is no such thing as "better" aside from technical talent.  It's all subjective as far as ones tastes. 

As far as that is concerned,  the Stones had more musical talent than the Beatles.  
I like the Stones alot, but also like the Beatles alot. 

There is no better between the two except for musical talent, by that I mean ...meh...who the fuk cares what I mean
