Really? You think ICE was going into the interior of the country and deporting 270k thousand of them?

No. And I don’t think they’re going to do it now either. Except for show. Don’t look for bigger numbers.

I’ll tell you right now that anyone that got turned away at the border was counted as a deportation. It’s the bullshitt Obama , another game playing POS, played in his first term.  It’s a joke.

The asylum cancellations aren’t meaningless. They will cause real pain to a lot of deserving desperate people. So congrats on that part. But ordering the border “secure” is meaningless.

Lol... asylum is for a handful of politically persecuted people.  You open border nuts used it as a loophole to allow tens of millions of people in illegally.   It was not done by vote or any open policy, but was done secretly so nobody woukd notice.  Your side is so full of crap and lies.  The American people don't want your fuking open borders.   Asylum seekers was a total canard to hide their subversion of the law and you know it.

People are having a hard time dealing with the new reality we’re living in.
I suggest a little embracement or you’re not going to make it through the first week.

This.  I had an illegal alien acquaintance who once asked me to write a letter to Immigration on his behalf.  He told me to write that if he was deported back to his country his “political enemies” would kill him.  When I asked him who these enemies were, he came right out and said it was complete bullshitt, but it was what was needed for him to remain in the country. 😆

Order to restore freedom of speech and stopping government censorship.

Order to end political prosecution of previous administrations.

That should inure to Biden's benefit and might ease their paranoia, not that it matters now with all of the pardons Biden handed out.

There are two things wrong with your assessment of this story. The first is that, from this anecdote you assume that nobody is honestly seeking asylum. That’s not true; there are many people, especially from Venezuela, Cuba, El Salvador, etc., who truly are. You ran into one who apparently wasn’t- goody for you but it’s wrong to make false assumptions,

The bigger problem is that your acquaintance shouldn’t have needed to lie. He should be allowed to stay without having to make up some story;

Under our laws he shouldn't have been here.  He had no right to asylum, by his own admission, and he didn't go through the legal channels to get here.  If you have a problem with our laws write your congresspeople and have them changed.  Just ignoring them isn't the right course of action, and hurts your credibility suggesting anyone should.   You and I may disagree on things but I bet you can't find one post where I've said people should ignore legally passed legislation.

So did you write the letter?  Also, how would you know whether he was at risk of his political enemies in another country killing him?

You keep saying you are against wide open borders, but then you post crap like this which says we should have wide open borders.  You are almost as bad as Biden when he says he says he is tough on immigration, while secretly using loopholes so illegals can flood our country without any oversight.

Leftist authoritarians ignore laws they don't like and make up laws to attack their political opposition.   So fuking sick of the last 4 years.   Garland deserves to be waterboarrded for the next 10 years.

I wrote a letter, but I didn’t include the lie he wanted me to tell. I knew he wasn’t at risk from political enemies because he told me - straight up.  He said that he and his other illegal friends had to use the political enemy ruse as a reason to try to stay in the country.n

This may come as a shock to Tim, but the vast majority of illegals claiming asylum do not have political enemies waiting to kill them at home.

This is why I can’t do business with Leftists like Tim.  He thinks he can pick and choose which laws to follow and which ones to ignore.  The concept of civil disobedience and resistance is at the core of American Leftism, and you can’t work with people like this.

In law school the girl with the best rack in my class was unfortunately merely a casual acquaintance.  We had a similar study schedule and she being a smoker we both used the smoking room in which to study so we had ample opportunity to talk and occassionally did so.  Turned out she had a casual friend overstaying a student visa.  He asked her to marry him to help him stay in the country.  She was contemplating agreeing to do so and wanted my thoughts on the matter.  My thought was one, lucky guy!  My second thought was that if their marriage was investigated and found to be fraudulent, an attempt only to circumvent the immigration process, that she would never become a lawyer.  In the end she did not do it.  I never got my hands on those titties and never learned the end of her story as she dropped out after first year.

The best thing about Biden is that he's now out of office. What a freaking disaster that was.

Most people have a problem accepting change.  Things were so lax under Biden even when he was awake the last 4 years people got used to not following laws so there will be pushback.

The liberal agenda has failed and been rejected , and it is failing in Canada too.

Steven A Smith nailed it when he said "The Dems have been held hostage by the extreme left wing and it cost them the election" "They need to find a new direction and stop catering to the fringes"

I am very pro WFH. Employees are happier, we get more work done, WFH is like getting a 10% raise, and employees are more flexible with their time. The benefits far outweigh the negatives. Boomer executives and blue coller people don't understand or like it.

You might want to read up on asylum laws.

why should someone here illegally be allowed to stay?  Can I come stay in your house?

Man the country hasn't won this hard in so long. You would think liberals would be more grateful, even if they don't agree with all of it.

Take a look Honcho, there are plenty of liberals who admit how horrible it was. This is what you get, common sense restored. It shouldn't even be a victory to return to common sense, but that's how bad it got under liberal leadership.

Wfh is different for federal employees. For private companies, it makes sense. In a system with zero accountability, it can't exist.
