The conditions on Cali for fire mitigation are pretty obvious, and they get fires often.

What could NC do to mitigate damage from a once in a century hurricane?   

It's an honest question.  When I was 5 yrs old my hometown was destroyed by Hurricane Agnes.

The conditions included additional funding for fire prevention; an extra $1 Billion. Dems turned it down.  Newsom also "expects" to be reimbursed the $2.5 billion that they did grant. Why would you vote against additional prevention funding?

I actually don’t think 8 years is a long enough time to really get anything done. I think you should be able to serve 3 terms or increase a term from 4 to 6 years. 
I also think the people begging for term limits on every single position of government are kind of retarded. Having that much turnover in government would be terrible and almost impossible to have a clear direction. Do any of you actually think about what these things would do or do you just like to say stuff that sounds good on paper?

Personally I think one six-year term for President would be sufficient...  That way when someone becomes President, they won't spend two-thirds of their first term running for the second term...

I've championed this idea for decades.  When faced with good for country vs good for re-election decisions... they sell us down the river every time. And they all do it - Republicans and Democrats.  The Presidency is too powerful of position to allow that conflict of interest.

I would vote for Trump if he could be elected for a third term. I actually hope it happens. But I don't think it will.
