Who is the Cheapest Basturd in The Geek Club

Recommended Posts

Spinoff Thread.

Based on posts, personal meetings, etc who do you think is the cheapest Geek?

For the purposes of this thread, lets exclude that piece of crap Chronic Welcher and his ilk. They are turds and that goes beyond just being "cheap".

From personal experience I'd say CMH54321 and if he sees this I'm sure he will agree, however,he has a friend not here at the GC that takes the focking cake as he refused to share a cab in Nashville and opted to wait for the hotel van so the ride would be free.

Who here buys their clothes at Goodwill, eats Ramen, and goes to the library to rent movies?

Who here splits the bill when they're out on a date?

Who here DIDN'T give to Rholio?

I can vouch Ed. Waitresses too. Bert drank a case of beer at the tables that probably cost him a couple hundred bucks. Good thing he was winning at the time

I'm always looking for a deal, rarely pay retail - but am rather generous with wait staff and those with less and/or in need.

My yearly expenses are not the cheapest of the geeks.

I am just very vocal about saving money on electronics, clothes, furniture, cars, etc. As far as tipping, my average is well above 20%.

I'm frugal on most things but very generous tip wise. Take care of the wait staff.

But how much money do you give them?

I tip waitresss well. Bartenders have to earn it now. They suck for the most part. Too many women doing it. STFU, put down the phone, put the game on and get me a drink. Do that and I tip great. Rarely happens.

This thread started when I said Frank is the cheapest guy here. I don't have time to search but he has posted on multiple occasions that he basically spends no money.

Forgot about ROCKFORD/zmanzzz, add him to the list.

tanatastic and posty seem cheap.

I'm not talking stiff the wait staff cheap, I mean don't spend money on virtually anything cheap.

I went to a local place to get new glasses today and they presented me a bill for $327 out of pocket after my vision coverage paid only $229.00.

Being a local biz owner, I do everything I can to support other locals, but thats pretty steep. I told her Id have to think about it.

Im sure I can get something similar at Walmart for $100, but I hate supporting big boxes in any way.

Wow really? That's what it costs to be more disappointed with the Cowboys than I already am?

No I'm not a season ticket holder, just most likely the oldest hard core fan on these boards

Yea - it's crazy.... What's even dumber - people actually FINANCE that shiit out. So by the time it's paid off, Jerry basically doubles it.

I've been a few times, won't go back.. Least not as long as this same song and dance crap is being played out - and Red is still at the helm.

I will never purchase a new car again, and have debated getting rid of my car entirely. And I'll never be able to afford a new house.

The newest car I have owned was 8 years old when I got it. I finally have my wife on board as well, when we bought her a "new" car a few years ago it was already 7 years old.

Cars are so reliable nowadays, there really is no reason to buy new.

I tend to be generous and am happy to pay for quality. There is also a big part of me that enjoys finding good deals.
