gimethedamnball 2 Posted September 25, 2014 What r u doing with him? I'm in a 12 team standard scoring league and maybe starting...gulp..Eli in his place. I'm 1-2 and keep losing by less than 10 points and I'm personally blaming Brady for my losses. But seriously, going against KC in KC on MNF seems like a game the Pats will lose. Look if they can't dismantle the worst team in the AFC west, what's the chance of "breakout" performance for Brady to turn things around this week? Pickings are really slim and it's either Eli or one of the rooks.... Whatcha guys doing with Tom?

wezvidz 2 Posted September 25, 2014 Benching him for Big Ben until reason to do otherwise. Ben's been creeping up the weekly rankings and the only alternatives on the wire are guys like Fitz. I thought I got a steal getting Brady 7 or so QB off the board after going Graham/WR/WR/RB/RB but maybe I wasn't so smart. Dude just looks past his prime so far. bfros 53 Posted September 25, 2014 I'd roll Romo, Cousins, and Ben over Brady this week. But I wouldn't drop Brady unless you had to. Drop someone else and put him on your bench, esp in a 12 team league. He has nowhere to go but up. Gronk will get more snaps and Dobson will play eventually. They need to put Vereen in motion more.....get more creative...they've been trying to ground and pound based on game plan..
Djigerman 1 Posted September 25, 2014 I'm starting Kap this week over Brady. I know what the minimum is that I will get with Kap..... and plan on getting more this week in a game that looks like a shootout on paper. Can't say the same with Brady at this point. They may just run even more.

Bills04 46 Posted September 25, 2014 After seeing his numbers from last year, I just stayed away, period, this year. I was looking at WW transactions in my leagues the past couple of days. in one league, Mr. Gisele Bundchen got dropped outright - for a kicker on a bye week, if I remember correctly! Philo312 41 Posted September 25, 2014 I have him in another league and Tom is riding the pine in favor of Capt. Kirk tonight. D Jax & Garcon are facing better DB's (Rogers-Crow and Amukamara) then last week so I'm not expecting week 3 numbers but confident he'll outscore Tom this week. Hwver, It was nice to see Gronk on the field for 60% of the snaps and should see more going forward. But that NE Oline socks and Brady has no one to stretch the field. DaBeerz 88 Posted September 25, 2014 Bench him, and that's when he'll go off for 3 TDs. Then the rest of the year you'll be struggling with start him, or sit him issues. I'm surprised at everyone who drafted Brady as high as they did. He's moving to that same category as Romo, you're just never sure what you're gonna get week to week. In fact, right now I'd probably prefer Romo.

So for now I am ok with looking at the offer. Cousins has a lot more to work with than Brady, and is supported by a solid ground game in Morris. Will Welker make up the point differential between Brady and Cousins over the year? Probably, but it depends who is then sitting out of your lineup to start Welker. Mack 1 6 Posted September 27, 2014 Had him last year and made it a point not to touch him this year. He looks worse than he did in 2013 from a fantasy perspective. And there was a stretch last year when he threw 7 TDs over a 6 game period, and 4 of those came in one game. I would super glue his ass to my bench if I had him. gimethedamnball 2 Posted September 30, 2014 Brady don't look right. He kind of reminds me of a young QB who either holds onto the ball too long or keys in on one WR. The o line ain't doing him any favors either. It was surprising to see Bellichcik deactivate both Dobson and Thomkins leaving eddleman, gronk and lafell as his playmakers. I don't know...I think it's jimmy time. Thank god I went with a hunch and played Eli.

LunaTick 29 Posted September 30, 2014 Why did I just spend so much time responding to this post. BTW I dropped him for Kaep. No regrets there. Perhaps 2, maybe Eli or Bridgewater instead of Kaep may have been sexier picks today Reason Brady is discussed so, imo, is due to his Brand, Image, what he has done in the past. So you are left with two takes 1. Is his move towards the mean, meaning he will begin to blow up 2. will the remainder of this season be more of the same. If he does pull a rabbit out of the hat, how likely is this? Is the NE offense dynamic enough to defeat the defenses placed against him I am not convinced that NE is heading in any direction but a rebuild. Still reeling from losing Welker and Mr Murder to offset a Gronk who has had back to back incomplete seasons. I just don't see the Pats having a WR corp that will enable this offense to do more than it has this season. It is possible that NE has simply faced better defenses than expected. But in the example of MN. Brees and Ryan. Both were contained, but still executed decent fantasy stats. Why not Brady? NE won, but should they have? Looking at last season regular season stats http://www.nfl.com/player/tombrady/2504211/gamelogs?season=2013 Brady had for TD last season 2 games scoring more than 2 tds, highest total of 4. 7 games scoring less than 2 tds, including 1 goose egg 7 games scoring 2 tds Brady pass for 5 games he through for under 200 yards. including the last 2 games. low 116. last 122 6 games through for over 300 yards. breaking 400 twice with highest being 432 yards 5 games being between 200 to 300 yards IN the playoffs played 2 games. Indy. under 200 yards not tds Denver under 300 yards 1 td. Perhaps I am wrong, I don't think I am though.
Serpent 51 Posted September 30, 2014 I am not claiming they do but regardless there are 12 FF teams so in top 10 you mean to tell me Bengals going undrafted and on waivers is the norm? Thats cray cray Are you a 12 year old girl? Why would you get so emotional and write that way? Defenses are completely random. I don't even bother checking anymore, I just randomly pick one I like and start them. Some years you get lucky and you get a strong one that you keep, other years you just get random performances and it really doesn't matter who you start. The years I had great DSTs, I remember a few of them, Bears, Texans, Packers, Eagles, Vikings, every time iirc they were all ranked really low and that's a big reason why I was always able to get them. It's also a reason why I start and benefit from Steve Smith. I make my own rankings, I don't just follow what some dumbass website lists.
