edjr 5,566 Posted August 7, 2017 why would the Dolphins sign Kaepernick OVER Jay Cutler who ran Adam Gase's offense in Chicago and had his best years under Gase? Does Kaep fit Gase's offense? people just want any vacancy to be filled by Kaepernick regardless of the fit what if Cutler didn;t want to unretire?
Gladiators 1,904 Posted August 7, 2017 He's put together 4 wins and 16 losses the last 2 seasons. What is his asking salary and contract length?

kilroy69 994 Posted August 7, 2017 what if Cutler didn;t want to unretire? they would have went after romo and then they would have publicly said how much confidence they had in moore as a starter. Kaepernick was never a choice

edjr 5,566 Posted August 7, 2017 so if Kap gets signed in a couple weeks after another rash of injuries, will he be good enough to play then and worth the headache?
NewbieJr 540 Posted August 7, 2017 so if Kap gets signed in a couple weeks after another rash of injuries, will he be good enough to play then and worth the headache? no. At that point, the 32 owners will get back together and decide they will lift the black ball. Lol. LOL. LOL

WhiteWonder 2,172 Posted August 7, 2017 i dont understand. so the 49ers were garbage but part of your argument is that he is better than 4 or 5 starters currently playing for garbage teams. so a QB who couldnt win with garbage is going to need to be given a job by a garbage team so that garbage team can do what? build around him? not gonna happen. Those garbage teams want to draft a QB or trade for one who showed promise

tubby_mcgee 686 Posted August 7, 2017 I think there are 32 owners who don't think that he's talented enough to be worth the baggage he brings along. Very old man-Bonds like. As for blackballed, not a chance. If a starting QB goes down in preseason and Kaep is better than the backups or any others available options, he'll get signed. Teams want to win. Yuuuup. titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted August 7, 2017 Here's a question... Even if he is blackballed, with collusion, so focking what? He pulled his crap in the leagues uniform on their premises on their time. If the owners had fired him that day, and banned him from the league forever, that's their right. Same as if a chick Fil a worker threw a pride rally in the dining room. First amendment? Sure. You're free to speak. And I'm free to fire your ass.

NewbieJr 540 Posted August 7, 2017 Here's something to put this into perspective. This is a league where thugs like Hardy, Pacman, Berfect, etc have or have had jobs. Teams have gotten caught trying to seriously injure other human beings in an attempt to gain an edge. They deflate footballs. They wear spikes that are too big. They put illegal substances on their gloves. They get fined for piping in artificial crowd noise. Anything they think they can get away with in order to give them the upper hand. But someone seriously believes those same owners/coaches will have this pact with their competition to not sign a guy because he knelt for the national anthem? Think about the likelihood of that.

Even more - most of those up in arms are totally clueless as to why he even did what he did in the first place... They're dead convinced Kaep is a radical Muslim who simply hates America and wants to blow up their children.
Djgb13 2,338 Posted August 7, 2017 I don't think he's "blackballed" from the NFL. I just think teams don't think his subpar talent is worth all the money he wants, the media circus that comes with him, or th backlash from the fans. He's just not worth rostering with all the controversy he brings. Teams want players who don't bring that kind of stuff to the field. It's a distraction and one people don't want
