The Party that claims Trump is a threat to Democracy involved in yet another soft coup. In 2016 they pushed Bernie Sanders out and chose Hillary Clinton. They chose Biden in 2020 and 2024 (making sure no real threats ran against him), and now still in 2024 they're pushing him out. Be damned that he already received the votes in the primaries/caucuses.

I respectfully disagree with you . I think it’s true that Biden needs to quit and is at a major disadvantage if he stays in. But in the event (unlikely now IMO) that he stays in I still think he would have a fighting chance due to this speech by Trump. Say a 35% chance (versus a 10% chance before the speech.)

When you add it all up, it's way beyond coincidence. It's impossible that this happened on face value. And as someone who has done PSD on very high levels in the Military and for private firms, this is more than an oversight. Here's what we do know for sure: (1) A rooftop in the Kill Zone with a clear shot of the stage was left unsecured both on the roof and on the ground while orders were given to snipers & security personnel to "hold their position INSIDE the building". No security personnel securing the perimeter even, huh? (2) They knew of a possible security breach earlier in the day. They were warned of suspicious activity by the shooter but never engaged him. Knowing that, they didn't delay or cancel the rally. (3) The CROWD warned SS of someone carrying a rifle case and range finder (scope) in the parking lot. (4) The crowd then alerted SS and Police that someone was climbing up on and scaling the roof with a gun. (5) SS did not engage the shooter until AFTER he squeezed off numerous rounds. There's way too many questions here. Most importantly why was Trump allowed to take that stage at all with an active threat lurking and why wasn't he escorted off the stage during the rally after the crowd notified SS and Police of someone scaling the roof with a weapon? WTF? I don't care what political party you represent, do the common sense math. This goes beyond an "oversight". Like so many other things, we'll never know the real truth, we'll know what they want us to know. My opinion is that they had good intel prior (obviously) to the event showing that this was imminent and conveniently "forgot" to secure an obvious sniper position.

Everyone else that uses Spotify probably already knew this, but today I was messing around w settings and changed the audio quality from the default "auto" setting and changed it to "very high". Damn. I'm surprised at the difference. Listening to albums I've played countless times before and it's like they are brand new to me. I never realized all the details I was missing. I guess I had just assumed "auto" would go to "very high" when on wifi or good mobile. Obviously not the case. Just a heads up in case others are as retarded as me.

My fellow Geeks. When I saw Mike’s warning this week I got to thinking about what we could all do lower the temperature around here. While there are many areas for improvement, like no more personal attacks and threats of violence, I thought a simple quick win would be kinder emoji usage. Over the last few years I’ve noticed some mean spirited and irresponsible use of emojis, like sobby sad face emoji, confusedy face emoji, and sarcastic use of laughy faced emoji, like the way Gloria laughed when I caught her in bed the first time with Lamar. It is unkind. It is hurtful. And it has to stop. My modest proposal is for kinder, gentler, and more respectful emoji usage. So the next time you’re going to put a confusedy face or sobby sadface on a fellow Geek’s post, as yourself: How would this make TJ Booker feel? Then “turn that frown upside down” and click the smiley happedy face or the hearty likeface emoji instead. Like and subscribe if you’re with me!

Strongly disagree. I expected a very good speech (see my post in the other thread) that would help Trump sew things up. This was terrible. I suspect it reminded millions of Americans why this guy is completely unfit to be President. If Biden quits this will give Kamala an advantage. Even if Biden somehow doesn’t quit this speech gives Joe a fighting chance. It did a LOT of harm.
