The reason for this is rather simple. Harris has supported more agents, more audits, more revenue. Trump has supported gutting the IRS resulting in less agents, less audits and more creative opportunities for high net worth individuals to pay less taxes and get away with it. Full disclosure I support being able to find new ways to pay less in taxes.

It’s now looking like we are on an inevitable march to WWIII. If you want to avoid nuclear war, vote Trump. It’s that simple.

well, I am going to say something I have said many times. the RB's production largely depends on how the team is doing. if the team is winning, that RB will get all kinds of late game garbage time carries. to be blunt, the Cowboys have not been winning. to make the situation worse, The line has grossly underperformed and they are very vulnerable to runs up the middle as a defense. and that kills the clock as well. so the number of total plays from scrimage drops significantly if you can successfully run on a team for a nice long drive. the Boys are (at least in part) a victim of their own poor run defense. Lets put it this way, if you are giving up over 150 yards per game on the ground, your chances of winning are not very good and usually your run game disappears by halftime (or shortly thereafter) Zeke has value in a matchup where the Boys expect to get the early lead. then they will just give them lots of Zeke on some power runs. Though now, this Dallas line which has been good for so long is starting to show its age a bit. They have not been great either. so its dicey. I dont know that I'd drop Zeke yet. but hes not a starter. hes a matchup play.

This may be a good time for a declared “centrist” to finally read Federalist Paper #10. I saved you the time and asked grok to frame it in a dumbed-down context. In our current political landscape, we've seen how deeply divided we can become. Social media, political parties, and special interest groups have all contributed to creating what we might call "factions" - groups of citizens united by some common passion or interest that differs from the rights of others. The Problem: Whenever you get a bunch of people together, they're bound to disagree on stuff. These disagreements often lead to factions. Each faction might push its own agenda, which might not align with the common good. Historically, this could lead to civil unrest or even tyranny by the majority. Examples: Think of how environmental policies can pit urban professionals against rural workers, or how debates on healthcare divide us by income levels or moral beliefs. These aren't just disagreements; they're deep-seated factions with real-world consequences. Madison's Insight: Madison argued that the real problem isn't that people have different opinions or interests; it's that these factions can become so powerful, they override the rights of minorities or the good of the whole. In today's terms, a faction could control social media narratives, influence elections, or push legislation that benefits them over everyone else. Solution in a Modern Democracy: Madison suggested that a large republic, like the United States, could actually help solve this issue. Here's how: Diversity of Interests: In a big country with lots of people, there are countless different interests. This makes it harder for any single faction to take complete control because there are just too many competing viewpoints. Elected Representatives: Instead of direct democracy, where every citizen might vote on every issue, we elect representatives. These reps are supposed to think about the long-term good rather than just following the loudest voices or current trends. They can mediate between factions. Checks and Balances: The structure of government, with its separation of powers, ensures no one branch can be taken over completely by a faction. Each part of government can check the others, preventing any one group from getting too much power. Conclusion: The key to managing factionalism isn't to eliminate differences (that's impossible), but to create a system where no single faction can dominate at the expense of others. Today, this means embracing our diversity, ensuring fair representation, and maintaining a government structure that prevents any one group from overriding the rights of others. By doing so, we protect democracy from becoming a tyranny of the majority or the tyranny of any powerful minority faction.

I have a bad feeling about it. Not about the outcome, which will largely be without any major consequences no matter who wins. I have a bad feeling it will come down to a few thousand bites in multiple states and by that time Trump will have whipped his acolytes up into a lather about muh fraud again.

Best send the agents to get him back. Can’t have them running away like that.

This thing where Maga Party believes that Jim flippin’ Lankford, who defended Trump from DOJ investigations & carried his policies constantly for 4 years, Republican from *Oklahoma, isn’t trying to inject actually effective border security policies & instead is carrying water for liberals, is fascinating. The bill incorporated key elements of Title 42 & one of them was the circuit breaker where when 5K per day for IIRC 3 days or 8500 in 1 day was met then entries were halted & auto-deportation was commenced. You bang the table for this stuff, someone hands it to you on a silver platter, & then because Trump coughs hundreds of miles away it’s spat out.

Yesterday Trump was going to Fox News on 6th Ave and I saw his motorcade come up 50th street. 22 Suburbans - countless police cars and police motorcycles- Ambulance- What a waste of tax payers $$.

On the highway yesterday I saw a nice-looking youngish black guy wearing a cowboy hat driving a large truck with Trump 2024 flags on it.

Democrats in Congress have been clear won’t do their jobs on the border and the Trump border orders worked. This is fact. Also fact Biden has let in 12m+ in 4 years which have reaped havoc on our communities and the Lankford bill still allowed more of the same, 5k a day not including gotta-ways. How exactly does that bill secure our border? It does the opposite and would be ineffective like every other bill passed by congress in the past 20 years. The only effect they seem to have is additional debt burden on the American taxpayers. Actually 1 bill that was positive that I can think of was TCJA signed by Trump

Biden issuing EOs to counter Trump’s executive orders countering Obama’s EOs, ad infinitum. Somewhere at the bottom of all those EOs is the actual original law. My point’s not odd at all when you realize Biden joined Lankford to create legislation that would end this constant rubber band of administrations doing just that. Btw Trump’s plans for mass deportations & sealing the border would take considerably more EOs & expansion of power, including emergency powers, than what we’ve previously seen.

Gas Lamp tends to be overpriced food and a lot of bars and nightlife. I would Uber out to Shelter Island and eat at a place called Bali Hai. Excellent food, best views of the city, and strong drinks. Probably a 10-15 minute ride. If you walk to walk somewhere, go to Little Italy or Seaport Village. Better eating options there, IMHO. There are also some decent brewries in the area. Going on the Midway is worth it if you love old fighter planes. A short hike from Seaport Village and a nice walk along the shoreline.

1.) As I showed in the quotes from the article they did prepare for things both candidates would say. Perhaps they purposely chose to avoid Kamala's comments. Perhaps she never said anything they felt was egregious. I said they failed for me on the "fine people" line. 2.) The abortion claim was not on aborting up to term. The claim was this: "They even have, and you can look at the governor of West Virginia, the previous governor of West Virginia, not the current governor, who's doing an excellent job, but the governor before. He said the baby will be born and we will decide what to do with the baby. In other words, we'll execute the baby." That is not legal in the state of West Virginia, or Virginia, or anywhere. Davis was right on that. 3.) The initial response for Kamala was bad but I wonder if they let that go (along with Trump's opening statement) because they were opening statements essentially. In fact, they let the candidates respond back and forth to one another so each person spoke 3 times. Then they went into the tariffs talk. 4.) There were also 2 or 3 times where Muir was trying to do a follow up with Harris (perhaps to push back on her) and Trump cut in and took the conversation in a different direction. 5.) There was a clock and time limits. The clock was behind the moderators so both Trump and Harris could see it.

Do you guys ever get tired of being gullible, lazy, and unable to understand details and nuance? Nobody but the MAGA idiots has a problem with how it went down, and the only reason you do is that you know Harris will be a lot tougher to beat. None of you truly GAF about morality or legality if you plan on voting for Trump. At least man up and own it.
