A bazillion things have changed in our society in the past several decades. As a science person, this is an unfounded conclusion on the surface. The onus is on you to show that they cause autism, and/or to rule out all other possible causes. I will add that for a long time, my wife (also an engineer) and I have joked that we've always had people on the autism spectrum, they just went into tech fields. We've worked with a bunch of them. In other words, it's possible that a good number of the increases in autism are due to a hyper awareness of it, and/or over diagnosis.

Upset? Not at all. We're concerned about your fascination with jerking two guys. It's like a Rorschach test but you see jerking two guys in EVERY picture. Like you have some unresolved issues.

Who knows with these allegations from decades ago. I def recall some eyebrow raising circumstances and surprised at some of Kavanaugh’s responses and his overall demeanor was bizarre. It has been awhile however.

Vaccines do not cause autism. It is most likely a rise because mediciene has a better handle on what autism is and thus it is diagnosed more often- perhaps too much. Here is an article: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5789217/ None of the studies done have shown any link between vaccines and autism. But I guess it shows that man or woman- if a beautiful blonde chick with huge tells you something- people will believe anything

From a Google search: Autism rates have increased due to a number of factors, including: Increased awareness Public education, media representation, and advocacy have led to greater recognition of autism symptoms and behaviors. This has resulted in more children being identified and receiving support at an earlier age. Improved diagnostic capabilities Clinicians are better at identifying autism, which requires substantial training in observational techniques. Biological factors Older parents, particularly older fathers, may increase the risk of autism. Children born prematurely are also at an increased risk, and more premature infants are surviving now than ever before. Environmental factors Air pollution, low birth weight, and stress may also be contributing to the increase in diagnoses.

This is freaking awesome and the type of thing I want to see plastered all over the news instead of stupid politics.

You are the poosay. You saw the "fire" of a difficult election, and you chose to hide under your bed and let the fire consume you, instead of being a man and making a difficult choice. Now you are flooding this board with mindless drivel about how both candidates suck. Do us all a favor and delete your account.

The summer after I turned 8, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. My dad was working full time and going to school. He was gone from about 5:00am - 7:00pm every weekday, and for 8-10 hours every weekend day, even Sundays. My mom spent about 8 weeks in the hospital that summer in a different city. For at least half of that, I was home alone all day, reporting in to our neighbor when I left the house. Best summer of my life prior to having a license. Luckily, moms came through it okay.

Thank you for this. That video was taken while Nancy was being taken away from the Capitol on J6, correct? Prior to the events, it was claimed the Trump requested 10k-20k NG troops be present. There is no evidence of that request being made to the military or NG, other than Trump's own claims. Military leadership has verified no such requests were received. Nancy Pelosi had no authority to void a NG request made by POTUS, as he is the CIC. Normally, governors can call up NG within their own states, but DC is its own entity, so the MD governor did not have the authority, either. Pelosi IS in charge of the House Sergeant at Arms, and McConnell in charge of the Senate Sergeant at Arms. Those two Sgts sit on the Capitol Police Board (CPB), which also had authority to request NG help. Prior to the events of the day, it was turned down, due to "optics." This was not a decision made by Pelosi or McConnell, but by the CPB. FFWD to the riot selfie fest. Once a small minority of the crowd became violent and breached the Capitol, many lawmakers, R and D, called Trump for NG assistance to quell the riot, as they did not have authority to dispatch them. Trump could have done so at any time. White House counsel Pat Cippollone testified that Trump did nothing. First hand reports from the WH that day claim Trump was almost gleeful while watching it play out. His indifference as to the safety of his Vice President is well known. Trump did get on the phone with some lawmakers during the attack, but reports indicate those conversations were about delaying the vote, not securing NG help for Capitol Police. What you see in that video is Pelosi acting like a leader should: taking responsibility for not being more proactive. That is absolutely on her and McConnell. However, what happened once the riot began is 100% on Donald Trump. Any other CIC would have been on the phone instantly. He did nothing but watch it happen.

If the Dems are smart, which they aren’t, they’d all vote “present” or abstain from voting, and let the GOP either confirm or shoot Gaetz down. You want a dirtbag lawyer with 2 years of experience and credible pedo charges as AG? Have at it.

Man you could not have missed the point anymore even if you tried to. Also, what critical thinking skills go into "Hey I like this person on X. I'm going to like their posts and click play." Lastly, your second sentence proves my point. People aren't going to using multiple sources or critical thinking skills. They are finding things that reinforce what they want to believe already. Social media creates algorithms for what we should watch based on our own curation. You aren't getting the opposing point of view. This isn't like days of old where you grabbed a local newspaper, or a national newspaper like The Los Angeles Times or New York Times, or hell the USA Today and read all the stories over a cup of coffee or while taking a dump. Social media news is like if I got the paper one day and only read the sports section. The next day the paper came and it was all sports. In that paper I just read NFL news and the next day the paper was just NFL sports news. Like this should worry people. Home schooling and school choice isn't going to stem that. In fact, it has little to nothing to do with it. And the other reason it should worry people is what I said- if one side does it, the other side will as well. And then it will be a battle to flood the market with as much one-sided content as possible.

Really - the same DOJ lead by Garland who was so afraid of appearing biased he appointed a special prosecutor to look into why Trump took, didn't return, obstructed the FBI, tried to destroy evidence and hid boxes of classified documents at his golf club to see if it was a crime. Yeah, it's unbelievable.

A dozen justifiable sentences does not justify 1200 unjustifiable ones. Time served. Move on from this black day in our corrupt justice system. Let's start imprisoning those who setup J6 and lied about it. Let's find out which FBI agents were involved in planting the fake pipe bombs that day. Let's find out who had all the government phone messages deleted and phones destroyed. Let's find out just which hundred people in the crowd were government operatives. Let's find out why security was so lax that day, why doors were opened and why protestors were led to the floor of the house and to the speakers office.

They should seriously put that guy in a wheel chair at least until he's out of office. And have him wear a hockey helmet to boot.
