I'm pretty sick of rationalizing and sane washing deleterious thoughts and statements. That got us Trump 2.0. We don't need to keep doing this.

Unless you are mind reader, you are guessing, you don't know what he was thinking or pointing out when he retweeted that post. And regardless of what his motivations for retweeting it, his repost of it, in conjunction with his current position is making a comparison of US public sector workers to people who carried out some of the most heinous crimes in recorded history. That in itself makes him unfit to be in a position where he is deciding their worthiness to work for the govt.

It worked for me. I got lazy and hungry the past few years. I’m 5’10 and on December 1st I weighed 183. I got rid of empty and liquid calories and made my self weight train every other day. I weighed in this morning at 164

I actually get what he’s saying and he’s not defending Hitler or the Holocaust. He’s pointing out that one man couldn’t have carried it out; it took the German bureaucracy, He is also implying that the larger the state, the more oppressive the state, hence the need for severe cuts to the public sector even beyond the question of waste (which is, prior to this tweet, the main justification Musk has offered for his actions.) This is an ideological argument, and from a libertarian standpoint I understand it. But I think it’s misapplied to our society. While our federal government has proven to be wasteful at times, it’s not been oppressive (despite Kafkaesque anecdotes to the contrary). We are not Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.

There is however a country out there in which the vast majority of its citizens DO wish to be the 51st state: it’s called Puerto Rico.

A great book. Have read a bunch of his golf ones that are also good. He was a classic old school prickly guy who could spin a yarn.

The guy who obsesses about him suddenly forgot about him? The guy who posts about him constantly? Always has to reply to him? Holds a complete dossier on his life including an archive of posts across multiple forums and apps, forgot about him? You're a funny guy. Pathetic, but funny.

Watching Maddow is like watching a "One trick Pony" with Bell's Palsy. The show is the same night after night. What worked in 2016 is not working anymore.

Dude is like a fart in a crowded room. Can't escape it when it happens, but once it's gone easily forgettable. Like I said, good riddance. Back on topic, you're a serial reporter and slap fight queen with countless bannings. Squid has gotten emoji, words and avatars banned from his toddler tantrums. Too close to call imo.

That's smart advise for novice investors. Weaklings and those that don't know any better might get weak stomachs and panic sell. That's what's happening right now. Don't be a weakling and panic sell. If you're not smart enough to understand what's happening just live your life and forget about it for a while. Turn off CNN and go outside, everything will be fine. Otherwise you might find yourself posting nonsense and crying about OMB online from your work from home dead end job. Suddenly you'll realize you're poor and have lost at life.

I'm learning more from this thread than I realized.... one surprise is how many people heard of this and know WTF they're talking about. I could stand to lose about 80 pounds. Since I'm always behind the times in all things anyways, I'll give you guys five years to see how much cancer you get and maybe look into this myself.

Calorie deficit google TDEE calculator. Plug in your height, weight, age, and activity level. It will spit out a caloric number for you to stay where you are. Consume 500 calories less than that number per day and you will lose 1lb a week.

It should lead to Americans buy more American made products. Everyone should have a local brewery, distillery or winery in their area. Buy local.

This simply isn't true. You are getting your info from left leaning media that hates Trump. We have had a couple of very good years in the market and we came into this year a little overvalued. Pullbacks of 10% are normal and the underlying fundamentals of the economy such as the labor market are strong. Corporate earnings are expected to grow a healthy 8% and the AI boom will continue to be a growth catalyst. Volatility was expected with the initiation of Tariffs but they are more of a negotiating tactic and I do not believe they will be on long enough to cause any sustained economic damage. The Atlanta GDPNow report you seem to love showing estimated -2.4% for 1st quarter is severely flawed. Yes, consumer spending was down in January but that is normal after December as it was down last January as well. More importantly, there was a surge in gold imports that GDPNow counted that actual GDP does not count. That alone would increase the estimate by 2%. Add in that with impending tariffs there was a huge surge in imports in January which distorted the trade imbalance and negatively affected the estimate. Finally, the March 6th Labor report showed resilience in the Labor market and will add another .5% not reflected in that estimate. In summary, the media and apparently liberals like you are assuming the worst with the tariffs. Allowing other countries to apply tariffs on us for years made no sense and the reciprocal tariffs seem logical right?
