It doesn’t work. Santa Monica has had it for 40 years. Here’s what happens in a nutshell: tenants never leave. And there’s lots of corruption: tenants with deep pockets claim poverty, then sublease the premises for double or triple the rent. The landlord is helpless. This is an example of a socialist idea that simply works against what it’s intended to do, (Actually I believe that’s true of most socialist ideas.) It’s why I could I never be in love with this sort of candidate; I’ll only support leftists if my alternative is a Trumper.

Unfortunately a lot of Americans listened to the left wing media and thought the economy was doomed. This caused a lot of Americans like Ron Artest to lose a lot of wealth as they panic sold their investments. They are nowhere to be seen in this thread now.
