My grandparents and my dad survived. They escaped from Germany to Romania and lived there as refugees until 1944. Then they escaped into the forest outside Bucharest, They lived hiding in the forest for over a year. When they came out my grandfather weighed 72 pounds. But my both my grandparents lost their entire families, over 20 relatives I think. My dad was 6 years old when he came out of the forest. My grandparents wandered to Vienna but like Berlin it was occupied by the four powers and my grandparents were in the Communist zone. My grandparents snuck across to the American zone- they would have been shot by the Russians had they been caught- they were, quite literally, undocumented immigrants. They came to this country with no papers. This fact probably plays a role in my deep feelings about this subject.

Yeah, I think the 4 year hiatus really did him some good. It gave him time to look back on all the buIIshit and devise a plan going forward. To me, blaming a dog for attacking somebody is sort of like blaming a gun for shooting somebody. The gun, if left alone, wouldn't shoot anybody. The dog, if raised properly, wouldn't attack anybody. I understand that guns and dogs are different. One is inanimate and the other isn't. But both the gun and the dog need outside influence to be dangerous.

So Pits are the only ones with bad owners? I think black labs and golden retrievers have had some bad owners too.

It's not the dog, it's the owner. There are plenty of docile pits in the world.

I do to. No reason pit bull's should even be a thing, much less allowed anywhere in anyone's homes. The fact that we allow pit bulls, Cane Corso's and other vicious dogs here in America is beyond absurd.
