This will primarily be for uninsured who pay full price. So instead of paying $1000 per pill, you might pay $800, As opposed to insurance having negotiated a $20 per pill price. The medicaid part is redundant because they already give medicaid discounts. There are also no details on pricing. Also worth nothing that maybe pharma companies already give discounts to uninsured or lower income, this is nothing new. What SHOULD happen, is that congress should pass a law with price caps, for all drug makers, including generic. But that would be a govt overreach, and Trump likes to bully and make deals so he's doing this one by one. Problem is he's a complete idiot so he's really getting nothing in return. Big pharma is much smarter than trump.
