Not so coincidental that Trump is buddying up to this Hungarian leader. He would love nothing more than to control the media, become our forever president and turn our country into an autocracy. Biden nailed it last night when he talked about confronting Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union built a wall. Hungary built fences. Nationalism. America First. Look at what has happened in Hungary and tell me the telltale signs of the same thing aren't happening here. The far right would love a one-party system that dictates everything. This is how democracies die. Even Nancy Pelosi said we need a strong Republican party. Don't think you'll hear that from the likes of Trump, MTG, Boebert, Gaetz, etc., in regard to Democrats, whom they demonize instead of find ways to compromise and get stuff done. Time to stop this sh!t dead in its tracks.

Elections there are free, in the sense that the vote counts aren’t nakedly rigged. But they are unfair: The government controls the airwaves and media companies to such a degree that the opposition can’t get a fair hearing. Orbán’s party, Fidesz, stands up bogus opposition parties during parliamentary elections as a means of dividing the anti-Fidesz vote. In April 2018, Fidesz won the national elections, cementing Orbán’s hold on power; international monitors concluded that the opposition never really had a fair chance. Sounds like the election advantage Dems get from the media in the U.S.

Just last week, timschotel, who has been reading those same stories about Hungary, told us that Hungary puts all (hisword) it's opposition leaders and journalists in jail. I provided a link from Biden's Justice Department at state.gov (no friend of Orban) that mentioned there are no political prisoners in Hungary. Zero. "All" vs. Zero When you consume corporate leftoid media about Hungary, all you get is the corporate globalist response. Hungary remains a nice place and its capitol city is the only one on the continent you can walk around safely at night time anywhere you want. That's because Orban isn't controlled by Brussels and the Word Economic Forum types that jet around the planet. He looks out for his people and is rewarded with re-election. Orban's biggest "crime" is gerrymandering his opposition. I don't particularly like gerrymandering but it happens all over the US as well in states where one party or the other dominate. The EU and the corporate globalists can't/don't control Hungary like they can most anyplace else in the Western world so they whine about it instead.

Your boyo Trump met with a country leader who helped orchestrate the turning of a country from a democracy to an autocracy. Wake up, man. Where Trump wants to take us isn't the America we've known and loved. Be accepting of other political viewpoints and be able to compromise for the nation's best interest. The one-party system MAGA wants will destroy our democracy. Take your TDS crap and shove it up your ass.

Every time I go and shave, I assume there's someone else on the planet shaving. So I say, 'I'm gonna go shave, too.'

Here we have a dude who blames everyone BUT himself. Systemic racism is a not-so-subtle code for white people keeping the black man down. He got to go on the biggest podcast in the world reaching millions of people and spreading his false narrative of white people bad. Then goes and cuts a person's head off. But I'm the bad guy here...

European leaders have only recently woken up to the threat Hungary poses; the European Parliament voted on Tuesday to label Orbán’s government a “systemic threat to the rule of law.” But this is likely too little, too late: Orbán has consolidated his power, and the opposition is too weak and divided to pose a major threat in the foreseeable future. Now this sounds like far left Europe is concerned their communist way of governing could have the tide turning a bit to the right. Authoritarianism sure sounds like it's actually most countries in Europe EXCEPT Hungary. Good article Rustydoodoo.

This has been pretty much true throughout history. Sadly no country accepts immigrants without resistance. No country on Earth has been willing to accept a changes to their racial makeup without great hostility. This includes the United States, but we are unique in that we are mainly a country of immigrants and it is in our DNA to welcome them. That doesn’t mean we always do. All throughout our history there have been bigots and racists like you who are hostile to the newbies. Donald Trump is only the latest in a long line of demagogues who have used this issue to pursue power- unfortunately he has been one of the most dangerous. Even so we have defeated all of our demons in the past and we will this time as well. It’s one of the major reasons this country is the greatest in the history of human civilization.

Hungary’s civil society looks free and vibrant on paper, but a patchwork of nonsensical regulations makes it nearly impossible for pro-democracy organizations to do their work. The economy seems to be growing, but a significant number of corporations are controlled by Orbán’s cronies. Now this sounds like the big corporations in the US who get favoritism from Democrat politicians and RINOs here in the good ole USofA.

Before I read let me guess. An authoritarian strongman appealed to the country's uneducated and easily influenced working class and became a cult like figure to them by swearing he gave AF about them but in reality loathed them. How close am I?.

What are you scared of BOYO? What frightens you about a Trump presidency? Will we be funding 2 wars, have a broken border, an all time worst drug crisis, a shizz economy, non affordable groceries, a terrible housing market? What scares you BOYO?

I'm not a Trump guy, but you have to remember how crazy that time frame was. Most of us went to bed thinking Trump had won the election only to find the next morning that all sort of votes had come in throughout the night under odd (at best) pretenses. Add to that all the voting irregularities and the crazy ballot harvesting and the whole election just smelled fishy. I think if the shoes were on the opponent's feet, he would have done the same type of thing. The election didn't feel right and it still doesn't to a lot of people.

It’s just like real life. Woketards wreck a place and then move on to somewhere that’s doing just fine without them and proceed to wreck that place too.
