He is a dumbass, deserves a yearlong suspension. Should have taken a tip from Jay Z, just let the chick hit you, women can hit, men cant, its pretty simple. What a moron.

vuduchile 1,941 Posted September 8, 2014 Women wearing his jersey....you have to love the irony Yes. It reminds me of some of the behavior I witnessed during the O.J. Fiasco. I really don't understand the mentality it takes to hit a woman, or a child. I've dealt with several mouthy women, and even one who assaulted me. I never considered hitting them as an option. Just walk away.

RLLD 3,455 Posted September 8, 2014 What if they pull a gun or a knife on you? You have to let them stab you, its socially unacceptable to do anything to a woman, basically she can hit you or kill you and all is well.

vuduchile 1,941 Posted September 8, 2014 What if they pull a gun or a knife on you? This is clearly a much different scenario than the Ray Rice incident, and much different than any situation I've ever faced. There are too many variables to say for sure what I would do. But if faced with a direct threat to my life, I would do whatever it takes to defend myself. Am I cornered with no way out? Is she close enough for me to try to disarm her before she gets a shot off or slices my throat? Or, are we in a public place where I could easily just make a run for it? patweisers44 700 Posted September 8, 2014 Nice job by the Ravens finally cutting him loose, although I would argue that the original video and his admission of hitting her should have been enough for them to dump him long ago.

BunnysBastatrds 1,927 Posted September 8, 2014 Time for Goodell to go also. Two games and now says they never saw the video. He's a joke and is doing more to harm the NFL than any player could.

patweisers44 700 Posted September 8, 2014 Bullshit PR move by the NFL, worse than the Ravens decision to wait til now to release him. New evidence? what a joke. Mike Honcho 4,045 Posted September 8, 2014 Time for Goodell to go also. Two games and now says they never saw the video. He's a joke and is doing more to harm the NFL than any player could. I've been saying this for a few years. Goodell thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, and consequently thinks he can lie about anything with impunity. To extend what Mark Cuban said about the NFL, football was really at it's apex when Goodell took over and pretty much every move or proposal he's made has lessened the game. 20 years from now the NFL will still be trying to undo the damage he's done. GobbleDog 822 Posted September 8, 2014 Rice isn't being kicked out for hitting a woman... that only warrants a 2-game suspension. Rice is being kicked out for being filmed while hitting a woman. That's much worse in the NFL's eyes. It's funny, that dumb slut married a wife-beater for his money, but now he's just an unemployed wife-beater. They deserve each other. Yeah, I think all the parties knew they focked that up and just were waiting for a chance to lower the boom. I just don't think they anticipated the initial backlash, but it was too late to backtrack. The new video and "new evidence" claim allows them to fix the damage. Too little, too late, IMO. I completely agree. But I think the only way he gets fired is if they obtain video of him molesting young boys and giving them concusions with the back side of his hand. TD Ryan2 314 Posted September 8, 2014 When is OM going to join this thread and say she deserved it. both of them are a disgrace. Mike Honcho 4,045 Posted September 8, 2014 If he wasn't suspended indefinitely from the NFL, sure, why not? Indefinitely is going to be a whole lot shorter as soon as the union steps in. Just another example of Goodell over-stepping his bounds.

Yeah dumb move by the NFL. He got cut, other teams aren't likely to pick him up due to the PR issue and also the season's already started and Rice maybe isn't even good anymore anyways. And Ray was wrong to do what he did. He made a terrible mistake, but his now wife forgave him on their own wacky terms. I think the NFL is going to far here.
