Ferguson - Grand Jury has reached their decision.

Recommended Posts

JT nailed you to the wall days ago. HTH

I don't even know what this means. Is this a homosexual reference or something? Sorry Worms, I don't speak the ghey. I've never heard of one man nailing another man to the wall. Can you translate?

But I love it that JT keeps picking out a sentence here or there and responding to that, all while ignoring everything else. Like I said, just part of the problem. Pointing fingers and playing the race card instead of highlighting the root cause issues.

Doesn't it ever get tired playing the race card? Isn't it exhausting going through life looking at everything through a 'race' prism? :dunno:

interesting. There's a story up there on huffington and elsewhere about a gang teenagers to beat up a Boznian imigrant in st lious. Killed him with hammers. But hey, coincidentally, they don't mention the race of the teenagers. Do you wanna guess what their race is? You wanna guess why the liberal media it isn't talking about their race?

They don't want JT celebrating the death of a legal immigrant?

Who are you?

Fascinating that I've yet to respond to this thread regarding my thoughts on the incident, but that I'm... what is the term? Oh yeah. Living rent free in so many heads.

Is Obama sending in Holder and Sharpton to stir up the Bosnian community?

Police say Zemir Begic, 32, was beaten with hammers by a group of teens at an intersection in St. Louis early Sunday morning. (GoFundMe)

Zemir Begic was a teenager when he and his family fled Bosnia in the aftermath of a bloody civil war. In America, he found work, friends and love before a pack of thugs beat him to death with hammers on a city street in St. Louis early Sunday.

The horrific attack occurred in southwest St. Louis, just 20 miles from Ferguson, where a police shooting of a black man and a grand jury's subsequent decision not to indict the officer sparked violent riots. Police have arrested three teens and are looking for one or possibly two more in the brutal murder of Begic, 32. The married immigrant who was driving his car when the teens approached at a traffic light and began striking it with hammers, prompting him to get out and confront them, according to police.

“We come from Bosnia because we were getting killed and our homes and families were getting destroyed,” Denisa Begic, his 23-year-old sister, of Sioux Falls, S.D, told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. “Never in my life did I think he would get murdered.”

Although the victim was white and the suspects black and Hispanic, police said it does not appear to have been a hate crime.

"Investigators don't believe the incident is in any way related to Ferguson," St. Louis Police spokeswoman Schron Jackson told FoxNews.com. "The incident is not being investigated as a hate crime."

First thing they teach most cops is to never have your weapon taken.

Correct, and Officer Nelson maintained possession.

E. I've never seen more people take delight in failure of people of another race, and I spent a year as the only white guy on a college basketball team

What makes you think people "delight" in this? I don't. I think it's really focking sad.

I get that being born an inner city black-kid is a pretty sh!tty hand to be dealt. And yes, many of our institutions may not help them the way they are supposed to. But at some point, the black communities are going to have to realize that the only way their situation is going to change is if THEY decide to change. Kids need to stop having kids. Parents need to start acting like parents. The thug life needs to be rejected and education pursued, instead of the opposite. They need to stop trying to turn a guy like Michael Brown, who has just committed strong arm robbery and assault on a police officer, into innocent victims of a racist system. I was born in the morning, but it wasn't this morning. I don't feel like I'm particularly racist, but I'm also not blind or stupid. I just can't muster up a whole lot of sympathy for Michael Brown after the events he put in motion. If you want me to be a little more concerned, you need to be a little more discerning in the martyrs you pick.

This, like the "hands up, don't shoot" narrative, the "delight" narrative is just another complete fabrication.

Parrot, I don't think all delight in it and never said anything close to that. That's the FFT approach: take a statement and apply it to everyone. If you find the situation in Ferguson sad or disturbing or both, I think that's great.

But you can't read this thread or the Ferguson Haiku thread and tell me, honestly, that there aren't people here thrilled that it turned out this way for a variety of reasons. Whether it gives them pleasure to see a group of people respond in the worst possible way, reinforcing their opinions; whether they're just among those who are so desperate to appear "right" (correct) here that it doesn't matter what happens, as long as it fulfills their narrative; or whether they're true, dyed in the wool, close to the heart racists who are happy to see anything that props them up above the evil dark skinned people. Whatever their reasons, and I can't speculate on those, it's just dishonest to re-read these threads and be dismayed that someone could draw the conclusion that some of them are pretty damn happy how this all played out.

Well obviously they were black, 9/10 times a violent crime will be from a black person. But maybe not, holding a hammer is dangerously close to having a job so thats prob not a preferred weapon.

I prefer the story today where a black 18yr old who had been arrested 11 times prior dropkicked a lady holding her baby to steal her cell phone.

PSA, if you live in an area with alot of poor black youth, please move for your own safety. Im not being racist, this is just solid advice, how many stories and how much evidence do we need to see that certain stereotypes are in place for a reason? dont get into a spelling bee with an indian, dont think you can beat a korean at a video game, these are just basic fundamentals.

I'm happy that it turns out the cop didn't execute a guy in cold blood. I'm happy that blame for the shooting can be put on the guy who got shot. I'm happy there's not going to be a show trial (a la Zimmerman) that wastes time and money to appease the masses. I hated seeing the looting and riots, not because it puts black people in a bad light, but because of the damage done to innocent people.

Does that mean I'm taking delight in the failure of another race?

I never attributed the statement to everyone. Added that it's not for me to speculate on their motives. But hey, it's FFT so let's make a clumsy attempt to trip people up with things they never said.

If you're concerned about your personal motives, it' may be an issue on which you should personally reflect.

Well lets look at your quote then. Because "never seen more people" implies that you mean quite a large number of people. As in more than handful.

You can backtrack all you want, but face it. You took some comments from A. a couple people and/or B. from a Haiku thread that is supposed to be offensive and funny and politically incorrect as its for comedy purposes, and tried to brush a really wide stroke with it.

That is the very defintion of sterotyping, btw. :)

"Never seen more people" means just that: that I have never been in a situation where I personally have seen more people taking delight in the denigration of a race. Whether that's 2, 5, 10 or 20 people you have no way of knowing.

You also should brush up on the definition of stereotyping. I didn't condemn or define a whole group over the actions of one or even a few. I said just what I said; that I saw many people who delighted in the way this played out. It was in response to your multiple choice question, which didn't provide an appropriate option for me to summarize what I read in going through the thread. Never attributed it to you specifically or anyone else for that matter. If it hits too close to home...and I'm not saying it should...that's a matter for the individual to decide.

True and so was the individual he killed. I said it when it happened, the best result would have been for both of them to die.

The fact or fiction of Zimmerman being a POS has nothing to do with the fact that he got attacked by a thug and defended himself (as verified by a jury of his peers).

He got attacked by a "thug" because he stalked said thug for no reason and did everything wrong in the book on neighborhood watches, from following someone to carrying a weapon. He richly deserve the ass whupping he took from a 100-pound child but like a lot of fat poosays he carried a gun.

Amazing this guy is a geek club hero.

If you follow someone they have every right to punch you in the face, jump on top of you, and start pounding your head on the concrete.

Why are we talking about Zimmerman/Martin again exactly? Holy Red Herring.

Someone here with a lot of white guilt had a Vietnam style flashback and tried to use ol Zim to deflect from the beatdown that was being inflicted upon him by the bored.

On the internet there are things called message boards like this one here, where people who barely know each other waste time by posting and reading funny things, news items, and generally you'll see alot of arguing, ball busting, and politically incorrect jokes. All for entertainment.

If that sort of thing isn't for you, then it's probably not a place you should visit. If it is, then enjoy. :)
