From what I have heard the guy started yelling and running at him from about 100' away. Then the cop fired a few warning shots and he hit the decl from about 30 feet away. at 30' he gets up and starts to rush him again. I get the fact that force HAD to be exerted from the cop but damn -- at 30' and gun drawn do you really need to go 2 in the chest 1 in the head? Wouldn't it of been just as easy to go for the legs.

Sad fact is that this whole mess will just lead to more black crime. Think about it, any white cop in a black town with a shred of sense will request a transfer to avoid this type of situation. They can no longer do their jobs since 80% of crime is from blacks yet if they even swear at a black guy they risk their life being torn down in the event they have to use force. So we should have less officers where they are badly needed, and maybe even overall if they are smart. Plus we have opportunists who know that they now will have extra leeway to commit crime and have the cop not do anything out of fear he starts a national protest. So less cops, more crime. Very sad state of affairs. We will never read about the times black guys are gunned down by black cops, even when it could be considered exsessive. The reverse racism is at an all time high now.

I worked in the worst housing projects in America. We were the murder Capitol of the country every year I was working them until Katrina hit.

 

Never carried a gun or weapon. I was shot at once because the shooter just shot someone and thought I was a cop. Used to drive a white crown Vic. And had a knife pulled on me once and was saved by an old black grandma sitting on her porch screaming at the thug telling him she's gonna tell his momma.

 

I always wondered why I, me, a good looking young white boy could walk the projects and never get harmed when I was surrounded by some hardcore brothers protecting their turf.

 

Was talking to a black guy recently who did mission work in the projects. He was selling Jesus and though shall not kill messages during the 80's and 90's. Worked in the prisons also. I told him a few of my favorite stories. He told me there is a code in the projects. Anybody on their turf trying to help the community got a pass. No matter what their race. You're a cable installer? Don't fawk with them. Garbage man...don't fawk with them. Insurance adjuster helping granny file a claim....leave him alone. White college boy looking for dope.....fair game. Cops were priotected also. The heat that would come down if someone killed a cop was bad news for business.

 

All those years I thought I was a bad MF. Turns out, I was protected by the head brother In charge and some crazy street rule.

What they do take delight in, is that a police officer doing his job wasn't wrongly charged or worse convicted of a crime for.....doing his job. Just because a mob was after him. Yes there are blatant racists out there but the majority of folks simply have race card fatigue. Every focking time a white person and a black person have any interaction where its anything but a positive outcome it just HAS to be because one of them (normally the white guy) is racist. It can't be that one or both are just a-holes, it HAS to be racial.

 

Everything is racial, its just damn tiring is all. I keep hearing and seeing these signs Black Lives Matter. Of course they matter, but ALL lives matter. It's 2014, almost 2015. 99% of Americans could give two shits about race when it comes to living, working, building friendships and a community together.
