NFL: 11 of 12 Pat's balls under inflated.

Recommended Posts

Exactly how long do you think it takes to stick a needle in a football and let out some air?

obviously less than 10 seconds each  ..I guess it would depend on the size of the orifice on the needle, I'm sure there is science out there that could prove the rate of pressure release. :dunno: I think the rate of release will decrease as the pressure is decreased inside the ball. Either way, even if the ball is squeezed to increase the rate it will be limited by the mechanical structure of the needle or release mechanism.

How long does it take to insert the needle in the ball ? To remove the ball from the bag, let 2 psi out and put the ball back in the bag. He must have left the deflated balls outside of the bag after deflating, and then put all 11 balls back in the bag when complete, if not how does he know he isn't grabbing an already deflated ball when reaching into the bag ?

That's a lot to happen in 90 seconds.

I'd say impossible, maybe they had 10 other guys in their with their pressure relief mechanisms locked and loaded.

Ball boy guy coulda had another bag of 12 footballs already deflated in the other room. How long does it take to drop one bag and pick up another?

 I think the balls are marked, we might of heard they were counterfeit by now

I just heard he was in there for a total of 90 seconds

smoking gun  busted

Hell, I can disrobe, take a dump, wipe, flush, whack off, p!ss, get dressed, blow my nose and wash my hands in 90 seconds. Under 60 if it's a rest stop crapper.

I just conducted my own scientific experiment and it only took me 5 seconds to put a needle in a football and let out 2psi. He had 8 seconds per ball, and he is a professional.

He has apparently been doing this for several games this year. Practice makes perfect, Drobs.

I rest my case, your Honor.

Did you consult with Mona Lisa Vito before conducting this experiment?

Where is the 90 seconds time and the "bath"room report coming from.

Glazer with Fox Sports only reported it was "another room" and didn't say the amount of time.

If 90 seconds in a bathroom is correct, then we now have proof that the media is sensationalizing the story by conveniently leaving out key facts.

I look forward to an apology from RP, Newbs, MDC, RLLD and ShoNuff among others :overhead:

I'm sorry more facts are coming out that prove your team is blatant cheaters. :(

Maybe the FBI Surveillance Van was parked outside the stadium providing logistical support to the ball boy in the bathroom

If there are 12 balls around he would have to handle them 2 at a time (maybe 4 if he's good). The other 8-10 would have been in a circle around him leaving plenty of time for ball manipulation.

For reading the media reports about an NFL investigation that is going on. :dunno:

Apology for what?

Outrageous and unfounded slandering of a first class organization and a hall of fame coach and QB.

I have done no such thing.

Everything I have stated has been based on the facts that are known.

IF this comes to nothing at all, then you need to take that up with the NFL. The media and the public are simply going on what the NFL is doing. There is a full investigation going on btw, in case you missed it. It's not like the public made this story up.

I think we need a mechanical engineers opinion on the subject.

Jerry, do you think its feasable that a locker room attendant was able to take 2 bags containing 12 footballs each into a room which consisted of only a sink and a toilet, to take 11 of those 24 balls, delfate them approximately 2 lbs, put them back into the bag and exit the room within 90 seconds ?

If it doesn't fit, you must acquit!

So we've got a QB whose feelings are hurt and a fan base who needs an apology.

This ain't your daddy's NFL.

so you think its feasible ?

I think it happened, whether they get the specifics about the "how" or even the "who", it clearly happened. What the NFL can determine about the how and the who only matters because it will dictate the eventual punishment.

I'm an electrical engineer but since you asked... I would think it is possible. Dump them out, grab one at a time and it would only take a few seconds for each ball.

Seems unlikely though. Why only do 11; there is nothing magical about 90 seconds. Also risky; what if the pin breaks inside a ball?

I guess to be thorough they could check video from past games to see if the same guy always goes in the bathroom with the bag. :dunno:

What possible legitimate reason could this guy have for stealing all the game balls and taking them into another room?

Can't wait to see how Cheatriot fans answer this one.

He is the guy who takes them up to the field. He took them in with him to the bathroom because he had to take a leak and didn't want any Colts tampering with them. I usually try to take a leak before I head out to a field where I am going to be unable to use the bathroom for a couple of hours. It is not really all that difficult to comprehend, even for your feeble mind.

"legitimate" reasons need not be used here, its all about deny, deflect, obfuscate. We have gone from "we did nothing wrong, its the weather" to "well, no way he could have done all that in 90 seconds...."

It's a progression, we have to give it time... ;)
