Next was a second deck shot in left field. Finally, a blast that reaches the batter's eye in dead center. Damn wall prevented him from homering once to each field. A Tigers win coupled with a KC loss usually makes for a happier day. I'm kinda out of it. As evidence, I saw the headline about James McCann hitting an inside the park home run in the game and since I never heard of him, I thought he played for Minnesota. My bad. So we have a backup catcher with inside the park speed ... odd. Of course it helped that he got a nice bounce off the wall then the centerfield's leg. Welcome to the big leagues Mr. McCann; it's a nice way to make an introduction. I won't make this mistake again, I've now gone and read a bit more about you. I think with Herrera's control being off, Miggy could have just taken a few pitches and maybe drew a walk, but he wanted to give them a lead. Herrera's K pitch was absolutely beautiful, no one could have hit that. Cabrera had this look on his face that was "Okay, you got me THIS time". But you've got a small market team with a small budget that's playing well. I use to think that Yost was a focking idiot but not any more. I realize half the time the crazy cr@p he pulls works. It takes balls to manage in a way that defies convention and everybody else's strategy. Sure he loses games, but he also wins them too. More than any other manager I know, it 's a roller coaster.
