Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffered a sprained MCL in his left knee Sunday and will miss four to six weeks as he recovers, a team source has told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

 

An MRI revealed the injury in the third quarter of a 12-6 win over the host St. Louis Rams did not include a tear of the ACL in the knee but did result in a bone bruise, the source said.

 

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin did not provide specifics after the game but said the team will provide an update Monday. Pittsburgh was planning on Roethlisberger being out for six weeks, the team source told Mortensen.

Tyrod is a top 5 qb so far, your lucky to have him. Carr looking startable as well. Both are twice as good as Tannehill wich people slobber over every week.

Martavis is done before he ever got to hit the field. My qb is Ben and one of my bench players waiting to make an impact later this season was martavis. This season went to the dumps quickly after a promising start.

They can take the hit. Brown still has value even with Vick, but yeah his stud numbers will take a hit, which sucks.

I honestly don't see how there's any chance he plays again this season. That was one of the uglier lower leg injuries I've ever seen. He really is built like a fort if he isn't out until December or more

Bell comes back and gets 19 and now Ben is out. Of course this hurts Bell. Teams will load the box and make Vick beat them. Bell will still get solid points, but as someone above said, less redzone attempts.
