Yes, we may have to switch to a Jesus joke thread. Because while there may be more Challenger jokes, they haven't surfaced yet.

hoytdwow 202 Posted January 28, 2016 I was in 6th grade, and we watched every launch live on TV in class. For some reason, we didn't watch this one, but once the news was out that there had been a crash, we watched the footage the rest of the day.

For some reason, we didn't watch this one, but once the news was out that there had been a crash, we watched the footage the rest of the day. I remember watching this in 5th grade class. One of the few very vivid memories I have from that far back. All of these jokes are bringing back some good memories too!

Delaying the highly televised launch again is a far worse fate than making America watch some astronauts die.

jerryskids 6,579 Posted January 28, 2016 I was a freshman in college, going through Hell Week in our fraternity. At an engineering school. So the brothers were not in a good mood, especially the aero/astrology majors. Two days prior the Bears kicked the Pat's ass in the Super Bowl. The school is in MA. Basically we had a tough week. The cabin was found intact as I recall. They most likely died on impact with the ocean...the question is whether they had lost consciousness from the free fall before they hit.
