I'm getting to the age now where I really question clothing. Am I too old to wear this? It's odd to have that playing out in my head because I'm laid back and usually dress simply for comfort but I don't want to be looked at as a an old dude who's trying too hard to look like a young dude.

I am not too old for my hair style, but I do not want to be old looking guy with messy hair that obviously shouldn't have messy hair look. I have no idea what I will go to when I get to that point.

Too old for dealing with pointless drama, although I was never the type of person to deal with it anyway

Dam you're right. Never thought about my hairstyle when I get older cause I do the same messy hairstyle.

agree about drama.

i feel pretty beaten up, so my athletic endeavors are more limited. i can still ski, scuba, play volleyball, football, lacrosse, basketball, etc but can't play with the same intensity as i could even about 5 years ago.

shoveling snow. while i still love the alpine environment, i don't have it in me to live in it anymore. shoveling is too hard on my back and i cannot afford a slip and fall

my original local ff league started a redraft in san francisco in 92 (i believe you met a couple of those guys in vegas). we then started a keeper around 95 or 96. our draft weekend involved:

Friday night: keeper draft, poker game

saturday morning: flag football

saturday afternoon: redraft

saturday night: another poker game

sunday: random (sometimes hoops, golf, bar...whatever)

when i moved to colorado in 01, i would fly back for the draft weekends. it was inevitable that someone would do something during those games (hamstrings, ankles... nothing major). very fun but age catches up to us

Used to play 36 holes (sometimes 45) with no problem. Now it's 18 and done and time for a nap.

That's a lot of dudes

I think I'm done with taekwondo; the last few times I tried to get back into it I broke or sprained something. My problem is that I don't know how to go anything but full speed.

Good point about the clothes. I dress pretty... young for an almost-50 yr old, but my wife just told me that I have two teenage daughters who would tell me if I went too far. :D

I'm going with the theory that ours is the first generation to ever embrace the messy hairstyle. So while right now it would be very strange for an old guy to have a messy hairstyle, it'll be more common and natural looking as our generation ages.

Marathon sex

Also, multiple sessions and sex after I've drunk too much.

I also couldn't imagine being back on the dating scene. Is burping in front of a woman frowned upon these days? :dunno:

Oh God don't even get me started on dating again. I told my wife I think I'd probably be done. It's just too much of a hassle.

Ha yeah and drinking and then sex if I'm awake 5 seconds after I'm done she should be very happy.

this is me to a T. Used to play very high level slow pitch softball. Tournaments across 5 or 6 states. Played in Pennsylvania state tournament many years Etc. I gave it up when my daughter started playing sports so I could see all of her games. About 5 years ago a local team asked if I would play for them. I agreed. In our second game, I tore my groin so bad that my entire leg was black and blue all the way down to my foot. That was from trying to beat out an infield single. Mind you, this league was slightly above a beer league. Very non-competitive. Some guys playing in cut-off jeans. I only know one way to play. Full speed. I still believe I'm 25 in a lot of ways. And it's not a good way for a guy who was in his mid-forties to play.

Then, that same league had an Old-Timers Game about 2 years ago. The field was full of guys between 40 and 55. I was playing left-center field and ran in full speed on a line drive toward Center. I laid out and go for it (missed it, by the way) and knocked the wind out of myself. LOL so to answer the threads question, competitive Sports. I am definitely too old for that now.

I hope you are right. Although the amount of hair I have will probably dictate whether it looks creepy or not

I still enjoy a good bachelor party, but it always ends up a shlt show. The cool shlt we do will never get old. It's the going out to bars and getting shlt the bed drunk in the evening that will get old I'm sure.

Dont know your age, but I was able to break my 20 year old 5K pace at 40...at 45, not sure I can even run 1K that fast :(

Not quite that bad. But any restaurant that requires a jacket, collared shirt or closed-toe shoes is out (remember I live in HI, which is pretty casual anyway).

Irish car bombs. Maybe not.

Had those during my bachelor party. Went bar hopping in downtown San Antonio. Every one of the guys was going to buy one round of shots. The second bar we are at my buddy buys us all Irish car bombs. One of my groomsmen threw up on the sidewalk from it

A customer of mine introduced me to these; he worked for a large mil-aero company so of course ethics be damned he wanted me to wine and dine (and car bomb) him for a solid week to secure an order... Anyway I made the mistake of not chugging it ASAP the first time I got one.

Condoms. I'd rather jerk off.

Good one. See my dating comment above.

Kinda goes hand and hand. If I do a car bomb or two there's now way I'm getting a rubber on. Or getting it up.
