TD Ryan2 314 Posted January 16, 2018 Your windshield becomes a condenser - ie is colder than the air and therefore the moisture in the air touching the windshield freezes. If you put a piece of fish or open can of tuna in the car for a day or two it will take all the moisture out of the air and prevent the freezing. #LifeHacks

tubby_mcgee 686 Posted January 16, 2018 And it happened yesterday for the first time. 90,000 miles later. Do you live in a snowy/cold area? Was the wind blowing? Sounds like snow blew in, under your hood (even if just dust)...and that is throwing (frozen) moisture into you interior.

shotsup 832 Posted January 16, 2018 ^^The correct answer. It's just odd it's only happened the last two days in history of ever.
IMMensaMind 459 Posted January 16, 2018 It's just odd it's only happened the last two days in history of ever. Well, it takes a lot, I would guess. Last week, it was 54˚ in Milwaukee while it was minus 7˚ in LaCrosse. That kind of drastic drop in temp and humidity as that front headed east will do all sorts of weird crap.
