Looks like it was here in mid-April, so I missed it.  I did see Tool earlier in the year tho.  I haven't listened to Keenan's non-Tool work, I should get around to trying that.  He is practically royalty in our northern wine country (he has wineries and a fancy new restaurant in Cottonwood and Jerome).  There is a shop in Jerome with a lot of Keenan gear, but none of it is Tool, most if not all was Puscifer.

So a buddy from out of town shows up yesterday morning.  He got last minute tix to a band he had seen in SC last week that played red rocks last night and flew in for it. Hadn't ever heard of them but got to see "Sleep Token" last night.   Can't remember the last time I went to a show having never heard a single note from the band.  Was a pretty good show though so glad I went. 

We have Stevie Nicks at the end of the month too.

We personally know the Elvis impersonator and fully expected the usual cheesy show.

Oh no.

This dude made Elvis in his prime look like a store-front mannequin. For three hours, this focker and his band tore it up. One of the best live things I've ever seen.

Billy Joel on 5/24 in a baseball stadium (T-Mobile Park / Safeco Field) 

Next night Wheel in probably the smallest venue I've ever been to.  Should be fun as I love shows in small concert venues.

Just got back from Nashville. Got to see Eric Church play at his new bar, which is phenomenal if you get a chance to go.
 

Fun weekend. Stood next to a girl that was probably in her 20s that said in the span of about two minutes that she wanted to fock me and that she was going to kill herself and she had it all planned out. 
 

“Before he cheats” his the national anthem of that freaking town. The louder the girl sings it the better chance you have of banging her I’ve noticed.

anyway, got Morgan Wallen next month and the day after that concert Warren Zeiders. Oh hell wait no seeing John Pardi on June 12. Jesus. Kill me.

This Thursday, String Cheese Incident is playing at the Midland in KC and I'm taking my mom.  She's in for a treat and I'm definitely looking forward to it

Just bought me and the kids tix for Maynard's Sessanta v2.0 tour (Primus/Puscifer/A Perfect Circle) next June.

Last week my son grabbed us all tickets for Dream Theater's 40th Anniversary Tour in February.  Will be good to see DT with Mike Portnoy back in the lineup.

Also nice that the kids can pay for their own tickets as this sh1t ain't cheap!

I was a huge fan back in the 80s but sadly I never got a chance to see them in concert. 

Finally saw them right after COVID.  Wasn't going to at first since Rob Halford is of course an old fawker now and was fearing it would be sad, but I finally figured why not.

So glad I went as it was a phenomenonal show.   Any doubts I had about his voice were immediately blown away. 

Btw - the audio book of his autobiography is really good.  He does the reading.

Never seen Priest, despite being a fan since the 80s and the first time I heard SOME HEADS ARE GONNA ROLL.

I've seen a bunch of older bands recently, and Rob Halford's voice still seems stronger than the rest. Fukker can still hit those high notes.
