The Trump base will never accept another democrat as president.  They will be forced to assume a democrat president means COMPLETELY open borders and the end of the nation.  You will IMMEDIATELY get widespread civil unrest as republicans arm themselves and take to the streets.  They will have nothing to lose at that point.  It will be a revolt that the democrats and military may be able to put down, but Russia and China will immediately support the republican revolt and label the democrats as war criminals if they put it down.  (It will be irrelevant to bring up Hong Kong).  Russia and China both FULLY understand that the democrat party is a malignant cancer that seeks to control not just the US, but is a huge threat to the world.  They will have no choice but to go to war because its the best opportunity to put the democrats down forever if they get the republicans on their side.

Its basically civil war and world war 3 if ANY democrat wins.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot clashed with Sen. Ted Cruz over the latest burst of gun violence in the city, claiming Monday that Chicago’s decades-long crime problem is actually the fault of Republican-run states like Indiana – because they don’t have “commonsense gun legislation” in place.

The retort came after Cruz, R-Texas, tweeted that “gun control doesn’t work” and pointed to the Democrat-run city as evidence that “disarming law-abiding citizens isn’t the answer.” His tweet referenced an article reporting that at least 25 people were shot in Chicago during Labor Day weekend amid a continuing crime wave in the city.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/chicago-mayor-clashes-with-cruz

She never mentioned that Red states like Indiana don’t have the same problems they do or how they would keep guns out of the country with no wall on our southern border.

It’s not the gun stupid!!!

Was this to be taken seriously?  Maybe AOC wrote those talking points for the mayor?

So let me get this straight: If a Democrat wins in 2020 the Republican Party will go to war over it enlisting the help of Russia and China, but Democrats are the ones who hate America?

Our last civil war started the moment Lincoln won the election.  I guarantee you civil unrest if a democrat wins in 2020.  It won't be type of republicans on THIS forum that revolt.  It'll be the people going to Trump rallies.

We're kinda going on the same path as the first Civil War in our discourse.  Neither side listening.  Not many believed it would become a huge civil war back then until it started and then EVERYONE believed a huge civil war was coming.

Plus look at

60. Amended fishing regulations for a number of species to allow for longer seasons and higher catch rates.

The link just takes you to the below. I know our fishing seasons are being decimated down here and the opposite of that is true.

My hope for next year is that whoever wins, and that will probably be Trump, wins decisively. If we have another Bush / Gore type election you just know Don would sit there Twittering about election theft 24/7 and his cultish followers would go apeshiit.

According to GC logic if I repost a massive list of factoids you have to refute each one with links. If you don’t, I win. If you do, I either contest your links or dismiss the source outright as biased.

I don’t make the rules I’m just reporting them.

No, those are your faggity troll rules with HT, Hands, Sdumbass, and a few others that fock up each and every thread.  You can play by those rules if you want but the rest of us will just ignore you like usual.  Excuse me for trying to actually address your post rationally.

I didn’t actually even read what I posted. I was making fun of the GC typical approach of posting a massive list of nonsense and expecting someone else to spend hours refuting it item by item. I thought that was obvious.

I love the environment, but we still need industry. There needs to be a good balance between protecting the environment and not restricting industry.

While Trump will almost certainly swing the pendulum too far towards industry, that does not matter in the long run. The ones that Trump went too far on will be reversed long before any damage is done by the next democrat president.

The fact that we have two opposing parties is what allows our country to strike balance on these issues, just as long as one party does not stay in power too long.

With all due respect, that seems a very short-sighted take. For the most part we are talking finite resources here. You destroy Bristol bay, it’s gone and ain’t no Democrat going to do anything about it. Same with ANWR and the Tongass National Rainforest. And that’s just in Alaska. Overdevelopment and pollution is mostly a one way ticket to hell on earth

I support drilling in ANWR, have you ever been up there? It is the perfect spot for drilling. North Dakota, Oklahoma, West Texas are other great spots for drilling. Low population, flat, boring country. We need oil and gas, and until that is no longer the case ANWR is a top 3 place in this country to drill.

I oppose the pebble mine as proposed, i think building the worlds largest dam as an earthen dam in an earthquake prone area is a bad idea. I would possibly support alternate plans, but have not read about any.

I do not have enough information about Tongass to comment.

At the end of the day, I think we are focked.  Trump is but an anomaly.  The Left owns the minds of the young who genuinely seem to want socialism.  Our system of government is not conducive for the 21st century.  We are like Sybil.  But I expect some form of Socialism and gun control sooner rather than later.  And for those who say gun control over my dead body, the government could close down the manufacture and distribution of ammo overnight.  Whoopideefockingdoo you got fifty guns and twelve bullets.

Our water and air are getting cleaner every day, we’ve been working on this for decades.

We’ve lead the world in CO2 emission reduction for over a decade.

Why the Chicken Little act?

Flat? There’s the Brooks Range. And altogether it’s one of the few vast expanses of untouched wilderness remaining in the world. Once they’re gone they’re gone. Remember what I said about this being a finite issue?

I don’t think you understand the gravity of the situation.

The oil is in the flat part of ANWR, not in the mountainous part.

I have a different opinion. Although to be honest it does not matter. Even if they open it up they will not move in there. There is just not much drilling going on in Alaska right now, the oil in the lower 48 is more price competitive. It is just a political stunt by trumps team.

I think there's only 1 good outcome of the 2020 election, and that's a decisive win for Trump.  All kinds of bad things will happen if the country goes full-retard and a Democrat wins.  Not to the extent that Riverco is suggestion, but only good things come from a Trump win.  For example...

  • The country will continue to progress
  • A possible split of the Democrat party to which we will have an official 3rd party.
    • The result of this will be more Republican's in the WH, which is the best thing for this country.
    • It will make the far left have less of an impact
    • It will help the normal Democrats separate themselves from the nutjobs (i.e. The Squad, Bernie, etc), and have more influence with the independents.
    • MSM Media MIGHT become normal (while the odds of that are small, they're significantly greater than what would happen if a Democrat wins)
  • Common sense and logic will be the ruling guideline, not... feelings.

I don't see even a remotely positive outcome if a Democrat wins in 2020.

The point is that copying / pasting long lists of presidential “accomplishments” is dumb. They’re always loaded with bullshiit, nobody has the time to check the accuracy of them point by point, and nobody is going to change their mind even if you did. HTH.
