Ask them how it is Trump's fault and how it will go away after November 3rd. I can't understand either position. :dunno:

When people say it will be better after the election I don't know what that means?

Under Trump the states have control on what needs to be done. So if you live in a dem controlled state like I do it's not going to get better.

Under biden he has said he would have a one solution fit all method for states and 3 months of mandatory mask wearing.

:dunno:how does it get better after the election?

Because the Ds will give up trying to wreck the economy with it. They will either say 'back to work,  all is well' (Biden wins) or say 'time to start impeachment v2' ( Trump wins). Covid will be old news and not worth their time because it won't get them anywhere.

Our system is designed to let states call it. Wrong course of action for Joe. He will understand this on election night once those sham polls evaporate. Stay out of our lives. What NY and LA does is their own damn business.

I've seen this propaganda pushed a lot.  While I think it's possible the media will change how it covers the pandemic if Biden wins, nothing else is going to change drastically.  People are going to continue getting and spreading COVID until there is a real treatment that's available to everyone.

Yes, just like when swine flu deaths were no longer counted. People kept dying.

I don't think the Dems will stop trying to wreck the economy. They want the economy wrecked. They like the fear COVID has instilled on most of the population.

So I don't think it gets better.

This crap sucks. My grandma passed away Saturday from COVID. Her funeral is Friday, no wake due to social distancing. Just found out my uncle now has COVID and now my parents are getting tested tomorrow since they’ve all been together dealing with funeral prep.

My brother lives in Houston and can’t come back because he can’t take the time to quarantine. One cousin lives in Oklahoma and also can’t take the time to quarantine. Another cousin is in the Netherlands so he’ll miss it. My uncle can’t even go to his own mother’s funeral now. What a mess this year has been.

I think it’s BS that people have to quarantine after traveling. As long as they wore their masks, all should be fine.

My grandma died from COVID but she was almost 92 and in poor health. It just sped up the end for her. Still sucks though since we can’t have a typical family wake and funeral for her. I feel terrible for my brother who can’t come back home for it.

I don’t think everyone has to but my brother is a councilor for a school and my cousin is a college football coach. They don’t want to take any risks. I can’t imagine it’s an easy choice for them. We’ve all been pretty close with our grandma.

Interesting, all the mask/shutdown Nazis are experiencing massive spikes, Sweden is enjoying their herd immunity.

Sorry for your loss Hawkeye

Nice HUGE graph showing the worst to the best is from 0.1 to 2.5 people PER MILLION.

Dear Gloucester Public School Families,

Gloucester’s COVID-19 case count has risen over the past week. The uptick in cases has been traced back to a large gathering/social event. As of yesterday, there were 32 active cases. The City of Gloucester along with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health will offer FREE COVID-19 testing, open to all residents, at Stage Fort Park from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. on Thursday October 15th and Friday October 16th. Translators for multiple languages will be onsite.

We are working very hard to keep our schools open. In order to do that we MUST keep our community transmission low. Keeping your child home if they have symptoms or are not feeling well and keeping the school nurse informed about any illness or testing will help us properly support the health and well-being of students, families, and staff.

Our best defenses against this virus remain wearing a mask or face covering when out in public, maintaining a safe physical distance of 6 feet from others, washing and sanitizing your hands and frequently touched surfaces often, and staying home if you’re sick.

Please consider taking advantage of this FREE testing opportunity and help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

“Lockdowns don't work. Even 'experts' admit they simply shove the contagion further down the road where it lurks until the lid is lifted and we start all over again. ... Most of those claimed by the virus have typically enjoyed a longer-than-average lifespan of 82 - a year more than the rest of us can hope for. Yet countless thousands of much younger men and women, many with families to raise, will die needlessly from untreated conditions including cancer, strokes, and heart and kidney diseases. What makes a Covid patient's life more valuable than theirs?”

Americans may need to ‘bite the bullet’ and cancel Thanksgiving, Fauci warns

Quote

Surging coronavirus cases in many areas of the country may make it unwise to hold large family gatherings at Thanksgiving this year, particularly if elderly relatives or out-of-state travel are involved, the nation’s top infectious-disease expert told “CBS Evening News.”

“You may have to bite the bullet and sacrifice that social gathering, unless you’re pretty certain that the people that you’re dealing with are not infected,” Anthony S. Fauci said, adding that his three children will not be coming home for Thanksgiving because his age puts him at elevated risk.

1) Aren’t they all dead already?

2) We should be thanking Biden, right?

3) I like that we’re testing it on the elderly first.

4) This is great news. Well done Trump...now, how long until it’s approved?

Saban beat the covid in a few days and is cleared to practice.  BLM riots are fine.  Just about the only thing that spreads covid now are Trump rallies.

The subset of at-risk population seems to be shrinking.  Now it's just poor old people with comorbidities that are at risk.

Got a call from a contact tracer about my son . Seems someone at the soccer field had it and they played last Saturday. Was contacted yesterday. Go away with this stupidity. He has   been to school this week and now he  should quarantine? But not the rest of us? Kids been breathing in my face all week.  I’ll play along, but it’s ridiculous.

Is there any studies being done showing if wearing masks is slowing the spread of other airborne flus and colds that are not covid?

I get your frustration, but that’s just how it works. If the positive kid wasn’t showing symptoms and/or tested until Wednesday they probably won’t get results till Friday/Saturday. They’ll go back 3-5 days prior to the first symptoms for their contact tracing...I think it’s stupid, but the contact tracing people are just doing what they’re told.

I know, but like I said, my kid was in school all week. If he had it, it’s too late now. And why wouldn’t the rest of us have to quarantine? It looks like a dog and pony show.

That "study" has a p factor of .86, which means the study is somewhere between statistically insignificant to completely useless.
