I don't get the testing either unless you end up in a hospital and then they can do all their tests on you if they don't know what's going on.

If someone finds out they have covid via the testing but they don't have any or mild symptoms, what different are they going to do than if they don't know they have it?

Quarantine, I suppose. 

Local school district around here required testing to return after the holidays and 5000 kids tested positive. I doubt any of them knew they had it. Certain schools aren't reopening.

The obsessive push for testing, motivated by an aim to create hysteria from HIGH CASE TOTALS!!! since Omicron won't give them high death totals, is going to backfire as well. It's already happening.

What they're unknowingly doing getting these perfectly healthy dipsh!ts to stand in line outside in winter for 3 hours to be tested is telling them just how little there is to fear. Brainwashed or not, having millions of people test positive while feeling great or with symptoms milder than hundreds of colds these people have had before, will only further expose people to the ridiculousness of what liberals are doing shutting down schools and businesses with these asinine restrictions.

You can already see it starting with liberals turning on each other over schools trying to go back to remote learning. The teacher's unions thought they could run their scam again with the surging case totals but the politicians realize it's a non starter this time around. More and more people realize what a nothingburger this is every day.

People with shots don't believe they work.  People without don't care if they work or not. I don't know why this is so hard for people to grasp.  Just open things up and stop paying hospitals to kill people.  It will disappear in a month. 

Remember when the CDC said "no symptoms = not contagious", then it was "contagious", now it is "mildly contagious".  Do they even know?

Btw, remote learning never made sense. Not even for "2 weeks to flatten the curve". Contact tracing which was touted as they "key" for so long until it was actually implemented in mass showed that the vast majority of transmission occurs in the home. For those that remember the media screaming "CONTACT TRACING, CONTACT TRACING!!!", if you were left wondering what happened to all that hype about contact tracing, it simply didn't give them the answer they wanted. Showing that something like 90+% of transmission occurred in the home made shutting down small businesses, restaurants, and schools look absurd.

And that ladies and gentlemen is why you stopped hearing so much about contact tracing almost as soon as it they hired enough contact tracers to get it off the ground.

As I've said before I use Mayo's policies as a true measure of the seriousness of Covid at the time.  I'm going in to the chemo ward for my immuno on Friday; that's about as bad a place to bring Covid as can be.  Yet I haven't been tested in over a month and they aren't making me get one this time.

This is a great point. Unless you're testing at least weekly, during those 27 days you can miss the virus entirely. Especially that quarantine is now only 5 days according to CDC< which means (basically) that you're truly contagious for about 5 days. 

You could have had Covid, not been tested and still going to work giving it to everyone else around you. 

Once a month testing makes NO sense.
