Voltaire 4,559 Posted April 10, 2020 I happen to remember the 90s better than you guys since I''ve been out of the country most of the time since then so it proves a good demarcation. The viscinity of $1.00 /gallon gas was what we paid through most of the 90s, often times less. Then, by 2000 and 2001 or so we were b*tching up a storm that the price had gone up to $1.60-$1.80 ... then I left for China in December 2001 and whatever the fock happened after that.... I dunno, but I do know until lately you would be missing those $1.60-$1.80 prices that I was despising when I left.

Mookz 1,287 Posted April 10, 2020 Thanks for the tip, but I figure by the time I get there I'll have used more gas than I'll end up saving, so it probably wouldn't be worth it.

Unemployment is unreachable by phone even though the website says I need to call. Wtf Similar story here. Can't get thru to unemployment. I started calling first thing this morning when they opened at 8 and still can't get thru. I managed to file online originally, but since I'm self employed, it says my weekly benefit is 0. They did send me a debit card for some reason. Can't even send them a message or do live chat. SBA website keeps shutting me out halfway through the EIDL application. Customer service agent told me to try it in the middle of the night. Gas is $1.69, but we can't go anywhere. I did find 12 rolls of tp the last time I went to Meijer. I feel bad for the folks who live paycheck to paycheck and really need cash right now. How are the states ever gonna catch up to get the money out to the unemployed? iam90sbaby 2,125 Posted April 10, 2020 Why's it so cheap? Are they still turning a profit with these low prices? If so we've been getting ripped off for a long long time.

Low global demand combined with Saudi and Russians over producing. Disguised as a feud between them. It real intention is to drive prices so low it puts US oil out of biz
