Honestly, if I had to grade this convention it was an F.  The lack of a crowd made it impossible to get above a C, but still - it was awful.  I really hope the Republicans learn from this and screw the social distancing.  Round up a bunch of people who have already recovered from COVID, get them hopped up on booze, put them in the crowd and generate some damn enthusiasm.

I may have watched Kasich but my VPN was on the fritz for a day and a half (still is, my connection speed is terrible but at least it comes through in bits and starts) and I'm not motivated to go looking.

I’ve watched a million of these things.  Hard to grade a speech that is not delivered to an actual audience.  His delivery was ok.  He did a good job showing emotion - he’s got that “I understand suffering” thing down pat.  He flubs words and talks too fast, but he does have the ability to connect.  The content of the speech wan’t very good.  Like someone said above, it could be summed up in three words - Orange Man Bad.  But the Dems have made it clear for a while now that this election isn’t about policy.  They just need a guy on the stage who looks and feels nice.  Maybe America needs a guy like Sleepy Joe.  We can take a 4 year nap and when we wake up COVID will be all gone.

What qualifies as a "good" convention?  I mean they are all echo chambers.  You will hear speeches saying the exact things you already know the party is in favor of or against.  The nominee will be officially nominated. Biden said he would not allow Russian to meddle in our election but it was under Obama/Biden that they did tamper they also spied on the Trump Campaign.

He said would relocate Police Funds which we all know will result in less police or defunding. He never mention the violence in the Blue cities.

He said our Economy is in tatters which we all know is because of Covid but if you want to play that game, 9 million jobs have been created in last 3 months. Obama/Biden gave us the slowest economic recovery since the depression.

He said the President refuses to lead yet they call him a Dictator.

Carter was extremely weak on foreign policy.
