The moral gauge of sports fans has become comical. Up til now they've turned a blind eye to a kinds of maleficent behavior.

Beating women, domestic abuse, adultery, tax evasion, arms possession, drug running, prostitution, aggravated assault, murder - all acceptable acts under the previous morals umbrella. None of which a reason to boycott sports or their favorite teams.

But by Gawd you take a knee or go woke - they're out, moral switch triggered.

I'm not happy about the woke movement hijacking sports - it pisses me off quite frankly. But I don't pretend to derive my morality from sports or my favorite teams either. I'm not that big of a hypocrite, least I hope not.

Let me know when the league comes out in favor of: "Beating women, domestic abuse, adultery, tax evasion, arms possession, drug running, prostitution, aggravated assault, murder" and allows it during the game.

I am not going to boycott football, however I am disappointed in the defund the police movement. I live in a major city and I am worried that this will lead the higher crime down the road.

I understand black people get harassed more by cops for little things, and they tend to get higher fines/penalties for the little offenses such as pot possession. And this sucks, the legal system needs to be looked at. Also, more time can be spent on vetting the cops and trying to remove the small percent that are racist against black people. There should be a national effort to look into the issues that black people face in our legal system.

I did not care about the kneeling down, it has absolutely no effect on me. I think that was blown out of proportion to be honest.  The problem is that the defund the police movement could make it more dangerous for everyone, including both my family and your average black person, since more black people are victims of black on black crime than being harassed by the police.

I think this movement is bad for everyone and that a different approach needs to be taken to solve the social issues.

I think there should be a national movement to look at why black people commit so much crime petty and violent. It's pretty clear they get harassed by police and store owners because there is a much higher probability that they as a black person will commit a crime. It's a matter of fact.

Also, the kneeling absolutely had an effect on you. You're seeing it now.

On the pot thing, I can tell you why blacks get arrested  more for pot than whites do, per capita, and it’s really a simple thing. Black people live in apartments a lot of the time. Young  black males live in these apartments with their mothers.  Momma don’t want anyone blazing up in her 2 bedroom apartment. So they go outside, where they can be seen by cops or someone calls the cops on them. White kids smoke in their basement, backyard or in the woods.  Sounds simple, but it’s true. Nobody is going into a black persons home and making a smoking weed arrest.  Nobody gets arrested for smoking weed a a rap concert either.

I lost interest when the kneeling started and saw where it was going. I watched the lions a little bit last year just to fock with the die hards in the office. Now the closest I'll get to the NFL is this board.

Cool, what's that 30 helmets ? When are they doing the one to honor the names of police killed in the line of duty ? Need to expand the rosters.

Perhaps Joe Mixon, who just signed a new deal, can put the name of the girl he knocked the crap out of on the back of his helmet?

This all started at the Super Bowl. Don’t you remember all the woke/ anti-police commercials?  Someone else pointed it out then- if you were an alien new to earth and saw the ads you would swear all black people drive a new Mercedes and are looking for portfolio advice.

I’m against picketing, but I don’t know how to show it.

Dont know where its from but pretty spot on..

Open Letter To The NFL PLAYERS. The Boycott is coming. Your teenage years were a struggle. You grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. Your mother was the leader of the family and worked tirelessly to keep a roof over your head and food on your plate.

Academics were a struggle for you and your grades were mediocre at best. The only thing that made you stand out is you weighed 225 lbs and could run 40 yards in 4.2 seconds while carrying a football. Your best friend was just like you, except he didn’t play football. Instead of going to football practice after school, he went to work at McDonalds for minimum wage. You were recruited by all the big colleges and spent every weekend of your senior year making visits to universities where coaches and boosters tried to convince you their school was best. They laid out the red carpet for you. Your best friend worked double shifts at Mickey D’s. College was not an option for him. On the day you signed with Big State University, your best friend signed paperwork with his Army recruiter. You went to summer workouts. He went to basic training.

You spent the next four years living in the athletic dorm, eating at the training table. You spent your Saturdays on the football field, cheered on by adoring fans.

Tutors attended to your every academic need. You attended class when you felt like it. Sure, you worked hard. You lifted weights, ran sprints, studied plays, and soon became one of the top football players in the country. Your best friend was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. While you were in college, he deployed to Iraq once and Afghanistan twice. He became a Sergeant and led a squad of 19 year old soldiers who grew up just like he did. He shed his blood in Afghanistan and watched young American's give their lives, limbs, and innocence for the US

You went to the NFL combine and scored off the charts. You hired an agent and waited for draft day. You were drafted in the first round and your agent immediately went to work, ensuring that you received the most money possible. You signed for $16 million although you had never played a single down of professional football. Your best friend re-enlisted in the Army for four more years. As a combat tested sergeant, he will be paid $32,000 per year.

You will drive a Ferrari on the streets of San DIego. He will ride in the back of a Blackhawk helicopter with 10 other combat loaded soldiers. You will sleep at the Ritz. He will dig a hole in the ground and try to sleep. You will “make it rain” in the club. He will pray for rain as the temperature reaches 120 degrees.

On Sunday, you will run into a stadium as tens of thousands of fans cheer and yell your name. For your best friend, there is little difference between Sunday and any other day of the week. There are no adoring fans. There are only people trying to kill him and his soldiers. Every now and then, he and his soldiers leave the front lines and “go to the rear” to rest. He might be lucky enough to catch an NFL game on TV.

When the National Anthem plays and you take a knee, he will jump to his feet and salute the television. While you protest the unfairness of life in the United States, he will give thanks to God that he has the honor of defending his great country.

To the players of the NFL: We are the people who buy your tickets, watch you on TV, and wear your jerseys. We anxiously wait for Sundays so we can cheer for you and marvel at your athleticism. Although we love to watch you play, we care little about your opinions until you offend us. You have the absolute right to express yourselves, but we have the absolute right to boycott you. We have tolerated your drug use and DUIs, your domestic violence, and your vulgar displays of wealth. We should be ashamed for putting our admiration of your physical skills before what is morally right. But now you have gone too far. You have insulted our flag, our country, our soldiers, our police officers, and our veterans. You are living the American dream, yet you disparage our great country. I encourage all like minded Americans to boycott the NFL.

National boycott of the NFL for Sunday November 11th, Veterans Day Weekend. Boycott all football telecast, all fans, all ticket holders, stay away from attending any games, let them play to empty stadiums. Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, some of whom come home with the American Flag draped over their coffin.

Official,  our "old league" is done. Over 20 years...Canceled,  many of those in the league have either military,  police backgrounds and/or family members.  The concensus is, fock theses ignorant clowns.

Former Bengals and current Jaguars tight end Tyler Eifert will pay tribute to David Dorn on his helmet this season.

The former St. Louis police captain was shot and killed while trying to protect his friend’s pawn shop on June 2. The city was experiencing protests and vandalism following George Floyd's death. Dorn was on the St. Louis police force for 38 years. He retired in 2007.

Good for him. At least someone isn't celebrating criminals in the NFL.

There has LITERALLY been salons that have had their doors forcibly shut and boarded up because they were trying to run their business but the liberal government wouldn’t let them. Pelosi complained about these. Of course she blames the salon for her violating the order. Nothing is her fault. Just like nothing is a liberals fault

It’s not long ago that everyone was honoring Pat Tillman. Then the Cowboys couldn’t wear a patch in honor of five cops assassinated in their city by a black radical.  Now they are putting the names of violent felons on their helmets.

After what Roger had to say today I'm out. I'm not happy to be out,  but I can't endorse what they are trying to cram down my throat. I can't even listen to sports radio anymore. Disgusting

My guess is that it hasn't hit their bottom line yet and they don't have anyone telling them that its going to (that they would listen to).

When they find out, the damage will be done.

I think they are thinking, let’s do this now while there are no fans coming to the games, and next year the fans will have forgotten or moved on.

Just say you were wrong. Because you were.  Nobody thought Trump was going to win, remember? And those people Kaepernick was supposedly kneeling for, what did Trump have to do with them? He was on television and building things. Just face it, your weak ass attempt to blame Trump failed. TDS is real.
