Numbers are not returning this season with fantasy down 10% or more. These freaks are the ones watching almost all the games and rooting for or against random players that have nothing to do with their hometown team. Not sure how some believed it would have no impact.

Similar, I watched Red Zone in the morning then the Cards/Niners game in the afternoon.  My two older kids came over for the Cards game, that was nice.  With some down/recuperating time in my near future, I'm not ready to abandon an easy all-day distraction.

That being said, I was oddly disinterested.  I did a lot of projects around the house and occasionally checked in, particularly with Red Zone.  For the Cards game, in the past I'd have planted my butt on the recliner and focused on the entire game, but this time I still putzed around watching on and off until the 4th quarter.

There was a dip for sure over the weekend, 12% I think.

Most certainly the boycotters were heard. Then again there was what, 2 million less viewers from last year? Given how hard so many prayed for failure and given the F-football campaign, I would have thought it would have been more. 

No doubt the lack of FF participation played a role, which again, can be directly tied to BLM - but Covid surely had hand in that too. I wonder how many streamed the games, circumventing the ratings measure.

It was a typical NFL Sunday for me. I watched the Pats game intently. Then I put the TB-NO game on just to see how Brady was doing, but during it, I made a trip to Home Depot, and mostly half watched while fixing window screens. Put the Dal-LA game on, and watched most of it while working on a puzzle with the wifey.

I'll watch the games tonight, again while working on the same damn puzzle, but can't picture myself watching Cin-Cle Thursday night with any seriousness at all.

 Not exactly. They have only agreed to a floor of 175 million. The current cap is 198 million. Any loss in revenue will be spread out over three years. So the salary cap can go down, but the hit won’t be in one year.

It was a give and take. The players know the revenue is going down with no tickets sold, but the owners knew they needed the players to agree to play. They could have said no, and the NFL would have no recourse because they didn’t put a clause In the contract about something like a pandemic. Players wouldn’t have got paid, but all their contracts and signing bonus would have been protected. Also, if they played one game and the season got cancelled, players would have been paid for a full season. They both had a nuclear bomb they could have used on the other. It was a smart agreement.

I read it a while ago. Profootballtalk.com was following it closely during the negotiations. I would try putting in 2021 salary cap. Sorry.
