we are still going through the process.  Trump has asked the supreme court to take up the case.  The gop has its own request to the SC.  The SC has regular meetings where they look at cases they might take up.  The next such meeting has yet to occur.  We have to wait until the next meeting before we know any more.  I think the next meeting is next week sometime.  Until then, we are in a holding pattern.  
 

this isnt some “comedy phase”.  Were waiting for the SC meeting. Be patient.  Maybe the SC takes up both trumps case and the gop case.  Or neither.  But we just dont know yet.  
 

i can tell you the mainstream press will not tell anyone how the process works.  They will just say biden won and if the SC picks up one or both appeals, the press will say the SC is evil. The mainstream press makes you dumber.

Not sure they need to comply with another recount---the one they are about to announce was a full state hand recount. Pretty sure they have done everything required of them by Georgia election law.

Those election officials would have signed off but they said the the problems were so large and flagrant they simply could not in good faith. Even getting harassed and their life threatened they could not do it. Anybody getting upset with them on that level maybe had something to do with the concerns? Usually how it works.

The thinking is that it wont be 5-4.  The way the supreme court works is that the group with the majority picks among its members to write the opinion UNLESS the chief justice is in the majority, in which case the chief justice writes the opinion.  If roberts sees it going 5-4, he will join the majority to make it 6-3 so that he can write the opinion and narrow or hamstring the ruling. If it goes 5-4 then alito might write it and it will be a ruling much further in favor of the right. 
 

There is another line of thinking that roberts would simply hide in the minority like a coward and then not really be targetted for whatever the court rules. So it could be 5-4.
