The Outerbridge Crossing toll plaza is about 70 miles from where I now sit in Fishtown.

You must be one hell of a driver. :shocking:

Doofus, Roy Rogers is in multiple  rest stops on the NJTP. You should really quit trying to to prove your Philadelphia bonafides.

Barnes and noble has slowly morphed from a book store to a gift and game store with a coffee shop over the years. I hate them now.

Is borders still a thing?

Capwells and Miller's Outpost were West Coast only, I think.

I'm   thinking about them now.

OMG, Weinstocks!!! I remember them. At the local mall, they became the "men's macy's." So, there were two Macy's stores at the one mall.

Olan Mills Photography Studio (I actually did cold calls for them about 25 years ago)

Hickory Farms.  They still exist but I only see them as little kiosks which pop up during the holidays now.  They used to have permanent stores.

Sh1t. Now I'm hungry for one of their gift boxes.

Bradlees

Good one.  As a kid,, I finally had to face the truth about Santa Claus when my Millennium Falcon had a partial Bradlees price tag on the box.   My local Bradlees had a contraption on the bathroom doors that you had to put a dime in to go to the bathroom.

On a side note I thought of an old friend as it’s his birthday (he chased the cocaine to FL) he would steal the biggest wax items from this store - I was next to him and didn’t see it happen!!!!

Red Barn (McDonalds type of place), Chi Chi's (worked there in h.s)
Grants, Woolworth, Toy World, Hills, (Some may have been just local or regional but loved going to those stores when I was a kid. )

Even Sears and K-Mart are gone from Erie where I grew up and Savannah where I live now now.

I was asking my brother this question.  He brought up Nichols Dept Store. Not sure how widespread they were.  I vaguely remember.  I do know I got my Thriller cassette from there in 1983ish.
