[** Official President Joe Biden Thread **]

How can this charade continue?  24:20, the NPR reporter goes off script and Joe says "I thought the question was" and then proceeds to answer the pre-prepared question. JFC this is unfathomable that this is where we are.

today was the day that Joe Biden went upside down in his approval average on RCP.  47.8% approve, 48.6 disapprove.

The new Economist/YouGov poll had him at a 47/47 tie, which sent his average upside down.

Trump currently sits at 41.3%

Why is Trump still being rated?  And what is he being rated on?

I'm guessing he is the next frontrunner for the republican nomination? :dunno:

But the nation is changing.  Trump pulled in more black voters than any republican nominee in like 70 years or so.  There is a growing crowd among blacks that hate democrats.  Give Trump credit for that.  I'd like to see what he can do in 2024.

I'd prefer to see him put his money and support (quietly) behind a much younger candidate with the same message but who also has the ability to not be such an abrasive ass.

That combo would be unstoppable, and would be better for America.

Even if Trump were to win again, he's too old. If you want this to be an actual “movement” he has to pass the torch at some point.

Hell, run Ivanka for a house or senate seat in 2022. People want a female potus? Give em a choice in 2024.

Desantis and Ivanka.     Desantis and Crenshaw.     I'd vote for either of those combos any day.    You run Desantis for pres and Crenshaw for VP and I'd probably have a boner as I cast my vote.    (Does that make me gay?   Not that there's anything wrong with that).

Alternate approach:   If the Republican party were smart they'd run in the primary;    Rick Grennell, Condi Rice or Nikki Haley, and Tim Scott and then say;  "fuk you, you want to call us racists, misogynists, or homophobes over every god damn issue, then here you go.   What are you gonna call us now?"     They do that and they win 45-47 states in 2024.     I'd vote for any one of those 3 anyway.

Candace Owens.

You want a bipoc woman? Here, we have two that are actually smart (condi rice). Pick one.

Hell, run both on a ticket. Take away the Dems race card, and they have nothing.

Probably because the majority of voting eligible Americans, including yourself, would vote for him over Biden.

Georgia was never a swing state...

These days Texas is in peril.

And you know they're gonna be naturalizing these people coming across the border and these afghans they bring in by 2024 and resetting them in places where they are useful.

Gonna be interesting in Virginia in Nov.  Gubernatorial race, with black woman running for Lt Gov on GOP ticket.  Only thing about it is you vote individually Gov/Lt Gov.  Dem can win Gov and GOP win Lt Gov.

Your political instincts are absolutely terrible.  You just described a milquetoast candidate.  Those types turn off the base while winning no support from the other side.  They get politically isolated and destroyed.  Its ESPECIALLY BAD in today's world where trust is gone.  People will see right thru your type of candidate.

But look, its academic anyway.  If Trump runs, he is the nominee.  That's unstoppable.  DeSantis can either be Trump's veep, or in his cabinet, or sit out until 2032.

I'm betting enough blacks join the GOP to push Trump over the top in 2024.  The democrats would have to cut some ridiculous inroads into the white vote to counter that which just isn't gonna happen dude.

Relax.  Trump is going back to the White House.

Yes.  More and more black republicans are running for office every cycle as blacks shift to the republican party.

Trump has a slightly better chance of winning in 2024 than you or I do.

It ain't about the base. The base will come to vote against Biden or Harris.

It's about the middle, and a large number of them are severely turned off by Trump.

Yah that was supposedly true in 2016 as well.  Trump never led in any poll in 2016.  Stop being scared.  Or as Trump would tell you "get in pusssy, we're making America great again!"

I'm not scared. I don't want Trump to be President again. I don't want an 80-84 year old man in the white house, particularly one who hasn't been all that stable to begin with.

The only factor Trump will play in the 2024 election is possibly ruining the GOP chances. If he wins the nomination, the general is pointless. He's too toxic to win.

No he is not too toxic to win. But I can guarantee that by 2024, Biden and Harris will be too toxic to win.  We're witnessing the democratic party in its death throes.  When blacks abandon the democrat party, its over for them.  They cannot recover from that.  They will have to destroy the Constitution and install a socialist dictatorship at that point.

This isn't Trump's political death.  Its the democrat party's political death.

Trump is so "toxic" that Biden became the weakest democrat to win the presidency in over 100 years.  He failed to capture a majority in both houses.  That NEVER happens.  He entered office with the LOWEST approval rating of any democrat in modern history.  Now he is collapsing before our eyes.

Biden signals the end of the political left.

You have to know you view the world through extremely red lenses right?

You forget that every media outlet, every website, will attempt to bury Trump.

Blm and antifa will be out baying for blood.

The middle doesn't like Trump or Biden. But they don't want four more years of that crap anymore.

Fair or not. Trump is done. The sooner he realizes that, the better for everyone.

He could settle back and have a media gig and play king maker for life. But he'll never be king.

But he won't. It's not in his nature.

There was a time when I used to say on forums that the Great Lakes states were all gonna turn red.  I was told I was wrong.  It used to be Ohio was a bellweather state and PA was just blue.  Now they say Ohio is red and PA is a bellweather state.  Pretty soon both will be red.

There was a time when I warned there would be civil unrest or civil war soon.  I was mocked for both.  Now I'm only mocked for warning of civil war.

Ive been called nuts for saying blacks are turning republican. Pretty sure that will stop happening after 2024.

I tend to be right a lot.

It's ridiculous that a 78 year old man was elected POTUS.  70 is old.  80 is fall over dead from pneumonia old.  Dementia Joe is ready to tip over at any moment.  That said, I agree that Trump is too focking old to be POTUS again...

If you are counting on the black vote to lead a red wave, you are in for huge disappointment.

Yes, more black voters turned red than before. But still far less than half.

You will also find, as the left has, that the black vote is extremely unreliable in terms of turnout. That's why they're bringing in more immigrants to replace them.

States like Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia have gone from reliably red to purple. Even Texas, the stronghold of gop power, is wavering.

Factor in the facts of mail in ballots being here to stay, at least in many states, and the enormous wave of immigration currently happening, throw in the media stranglehold, and the chokehold on education.. I'd say the opposite is true. The Republicans are on the ropes, and damn close to finished.

Isn’t “would you vote for him” a different question than “approval rating” though?  JustinCharge seems to be framing them as the same question which doesn’t make sense IMO since Trump is not the President so doesn’t really have anything current to approve or disapprove of.

Besides, who cares about political polls anyway?  Weren’t they proven to be worthless in 2016 (if not before)?

I don't think that will happen but 18 years is a while.  I do agree and see blacks voting R more and more however.

Dems will just buy another segment of votes.  They are pretty good at convincing a whole demographic of people that they are on your side.  Who that is I am not sure because Latinos are conservative at heart but I bet they could be bought.  LLM anyone?  American males are becoming increasingly weaker and more feminine.  Perhaps Males start switching to the left in droves.  In 18 years the gay/trans community should have an explosion of population.  Males who like the D will always vote D.

Trump entered office as the strongest GOP president since before FDR.  Biden entered office as the weakest dem since the 1800s.  One of these parties is almost finished but its not the GOP.   Its like ships passing in the night.

Here is the really fun part.   There is some Democrat murmuring about Biden and his decisions on this.

What I find amusing is that the Democrats had less to go on when they repeatedly tried to impeach Trump.   No mention of impeachment from the Republicans, because they already know this is just a setup to install Harris.  So it COULD be true that we actually see some movement on the DEMOCRAT side toward removal of Biden with the Republicans OPPOSING it.....

Now, this would be funny as hell, though we would look like even bigger clowns to the rest of the world.

The Republicans have a vested interest in opposing the removal of Biden.  I suspect any initial move toward removal comes from the radical wing, AOC and her ilk maybe.

I think we are in for some serious political theatre.

The Republicans would be smart to undermine Harris right now, by saying they support her with her law and order background.  Republican support right now would quash the whole thing.

While Harris becoming POTUS via Biden impeachment / health issue / etc would certainly be a disaster, I'm not sure how it could possibly be any worse.

Would she sign executive orders after Biden already issued a gazillion of them?  What crazy sh1t remains that isn't already being railroaded through by Dem majority congress?

If anything it would make it even more apparent that she's not cut out for the job. She's able to completely disappear as VP.  As POTUS she'd be front and center of the sh1t show.

As a bonus Hillary's head would explode knowing that kvm guzzler is the first female President.
