Wondering how it is that Biden was able to unwind so much of Trump's stuff, but somehow failed on this one.....like the rest of us....

Rcp has a box tracking trump, pelosi, schumer etc.

This (favorable/unfavorable)?

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/other/FavorabilityRatingsPoliticalLeaders.html

It looks like if you judge Biden vs Trump in this same metric, that’s where Trump is 41 but Biden is at 51, so slightly higher than you have below

today was the day that Joe Biden went upside down in his approval average on RCP.  47.8% approve, 48.6 disapprove.

The new Economist/YouGov poll had him at a 47/47 tie, which sent his average upside down.

Trump currently sits at 41.3%

The Taliban have taken Afghanistan. China threatening war. The southern border open, flying illegal immigrants throughout the states for free while Americans are trapped oversees. Gas approaching $5/gal. We renounced energy independence, and Resident Biden talking about forced jabs. It's August.

I'd love to see Biden try forced jabs. That will not go well for him methinks.

My sister says Mississippi has called out the national guard. They are arresting people who have tested positive that are out and about.

So now people are just refusing to be tested I'm told.

Crazy times.

That you were comparing Trump/Biden with 2 different metrics.  If you want to compare them then use the same metric.

But the overall point is that I thought political polls haven’t mattered since 2016, if not before.

I don't need to compare them with 2 exact metrics at all because its 3 years until the election.  If the favorability for T passes Biden approval at any point, its huge news.

The government won't force it. They will make it impossible to live unless you can show your papers. Why go door to door when you can force Kroger to do it for you?

Also I haven't seen anything out of Mississippi

Corporations are now an arm of democrat government.  We need new laws to stop democrats from governing from the boardroom.  Enough is enough.

There's a reason so many officials go to corporate boards after they leave "civil service"

Money and influance.

Here's a brief article from WebMD about MS with a link to a PDF copy of the order.  Mentions fines and/or jail time

https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/957050

Pursuant to Mississippi Code Ann. §§ 41-3-51, 41-3-15 et. seq., 41-23-1 et. seq. and the State of

Emergency Declaration by the Governor of the State of Mississippi related to the coronavirus

COVID-19 issued on March 14, 2020, I, Thomas Dobbs, MD, MPH, State Health Officer,

Executive Director of the Mississippi State Department of Health, hereby issue this statewide

Order for the Isolation of Individuals Diagnosed with COVID-19.

All persons residing in Mississippi must immediately home-isolate on first knowledge of infection

with COVID-19.

All persons, including fully vaccinated individuals, infected with COVID-19 must remain in the

home or other appropriate residential location for 10 days from onset of illness (or 10 days from

the date of a positive test for those who are asymptomatic). A negative test for COVID-19 is not

required to end isolation at the end of 10 days, but you must be fever free for at least 24 hours with

improvement of other symptoms. Mississippi K-12 schools are required to exclude all students

and faculty diagnosed with COVID-19 from the school setting during the isolation period (as

above).

The failure or refusal to obey the lawful order of a health officer is, at a minimum, a misdemeanor

punishable by a fine of $500.00 (41-3-59) or imprisonment for six months or both. If a life-

threatening disease is involved, failure or refusal to obey the lawful order of a health officer is a

felony, punishable by a fine of up to $5,000.00 or imprisonment for up to five years or both (41-

23-2).

Persons infected with COVID-19 should limit exposure to household contacts. No visitors should

be allowed in the home. Please stay in a specific room away from others in your home. Use a

separate bathroom if available. If you need to be around others in your home, you should wear a

face mask. Please see https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/steps-when-

sick.html for guidance on preventing transmission in the home.

Effective this 20th day of August 2021.

This is the most tone deaf, worst opening to a speech I've ever heard.  "Afghanistan is a dumpster file so I'll talk about giving away lots of free stuff."  :wall:

What isn't he?  I don't know.  He was referring to the 3.5 trillion dollar bill the house is about to, or has already, passed.  This seems like a good, quick summary:

Quote

A summary of the budget resolution released after Democrats formally unveiled the measure outlines a plan to invest in four major categories: families, climate, health care, and infrastructure and jobs. According to the summary, the measure seeks to establish universal pre-K for 3- and 4-year-olds and make community college tuition-free for two years. Among other provisions, it calls for the establishment of a Civilian Climate Corps, adds new dental, vision and hearing benefits to Medicare coverage and would make a "historic level" of investment in affordable housing.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/24/politics/house-democrats-budget-resolution/index.html

But that's not really the point.  He does a press conference that everyone believed would be about Afghanistan, delayed by 5 hours, and spends the first 5-10 minutes talking about a completely unrelated giveaway bill.  Clearly trying to deflect from the fact that Afghanistan is a dumpster fire.

Oh he's 100% deflecting from the sh1t show in Afghanistan.  Just wasn't sure if they were coming up with some new and exciting ways to give away our money to the lazy focks.

And then maybe you'll finally get that civil war for which you have been yearning and alienating friends and family, who think you've gone cuckoo and entered into a world of complete madness.

ROFL.  I'm "yearning" for a civil war.  Stop trolling.  You know that thread is about figuring out how to avoid civil unrest and civil war.  You are a goon.

You can tell the forum liberals are max depressed when they start lying about my civil war thread and saying i want civil war.  Go pound sand.

Joe Biden is really smart and has a large IQ and will tell you so!

Fake hair, fake tan, fake educational credentials saying he finished in the top half of his class, probably got a fake scholarship that he's bragging about, too.

From his own wiki page

Quote

Though a poor student, he was class president in his junior and senior years.[18][19] He graduated in 1961.[18] At the University of Delaware in Newark, Biden briefly played freshman football[20][21] and, as an unexceptional student,[22] earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1965 with a double major in history and political science, and a minor in English

n 1968, Biden earned a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law, ranked 76th in his class of 85, after failing a course due to an acknowledged "mistake" when he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school.[22]

That's b.s.  Any law school would boot you for plagiarism even now, and even more so in that Era.

That would actually be great.  We need an epic failure to happen so the majority of the nation can get back on the same page and elect someone decent for change.
