There are empty shelves out here in CA, but it's stuff like Gatorade. Like every store I've been to around me (including Target/Walmart) are out of drinks like Gatorade. 

That's the one I've really noticed. Could be other items are short as well, but I haven't paid attention.

I think the pecking order in the democrat party at this point is:

1. Joe Biden
2. Kamala Harris
3. Gavin Newsom

Newsom won his recall election and is in a strong position.  I could see him either running for President in 2024 or being tapped as Harris' running mate in 2024.  Gavin is up for re-election in 2022, but after that he cannot be governor of California again.  You can only serve two terms.  (Jerry Brown was exempt from that law because he served before that rule went into effect in 1990).  Newsom is 54.

Governors must have something special to make the leap. Ignoring the Bush dynasty,  the last 3 were Clinton, Reagan and Carter. Clinton and Carter never get a whiff of the WH without a 3rd party and Watergate. If Ford rightly won in 76, there is no Reagan. The nomination is tougher than the general. Andrew Yang is talking of starting a 3rd party. If the Clinton's don't kill him, there is no chance the Dems hold the WH.

That has been the liberal plan all along. Not simply Trump, although they are infected badly with TDS, but with anything else. They just create new problems/deflections to talk about to try to get people to take focus off the previous problems they set in place.
