I have said time and again that their efforts to dilute conservatism through immigration are doomed to failure.  Hispanics are not African Americans, they are far less easy to manipulate. 

They WILL become conservative in short order, and they will empower the Republican party as early as this fall.

What the Democrats are doing, and is something they do with predictable consistency, is acting impulsively. They are thinking only of today, meeting their immediate needs regardless of the impacts on tomorrow. They are effectively constructing the elimination of their own party. I can see the rise of Libertarians as a valid third party that subsumes sane Democrats and moderate Republicans.

What I think baffles most experts is how the black community have resisted turning republican all of these decades.  The black community did not start turning republican until Obama was elected.  And maybe when they look on history, historians will decide that it took electing a black democrat president (and seeing their lives didn't change much) to finally give up on the democrat party.
