So the title of the thread should have stated that small groups of people are slowly normalizing pedophilia to children.  The way I read the title of this thread is that pedophilia is being slowly normalized in our country, as in culturally accepted.  That's what I've been arguing.  If this is true then we just have a major lack of communication here.

If those "small groups" are in positions of influence then it is being slowly normalized.  For example, billionaires are a "small group". Do you think they have influence?

That's why this thread will go nowhere and you cannot have a decent conversation. The spin on words and literally putting words in others' mouths is not conducive to good discussion. Just the last few posts I've made have such an incredible spin on them, I have no idea where to start.

We all agree on pedophilia being wrong.  Looks like we just have some disagreement or confusion on what is considered normalizing pedophilia.  I just don't see how it's being normalized unless you're specifically talking about children and only children.

The pedophiles and their enablers in the church failed. Obviously. Did I say they didn’t try? I’m sure the pedophiles in the church would like their behavior to be accepted. It may not seem like much, but you're an adult that proves in some way that the 14 year old wanted to have sex with you and you're 24...then you may not be put on a list. 

Again, not "normalizing" but certainly making it easier, IMO.

SB145 not only applies to men having sex with females, but the LGBQT groups as well, along with using objects to have sex with people. Again, 14 years and older, and only 10 years apart. Not really "normalizing" the behaviors, but absolutely paving the way to make it okay. 

And...before Worms freaks out...this isn't shiite that happens over night. Over time, these laws will be amended to include additional items; perhaps younger ages, or proof that the older person has a mental issue. It just needs to have the seed planted....

However, the interesting part of the bill is the allowence for 10 year age difference.  According to this LAW it's OK for a 23 year old to have sex with a 14 year old.  No harm no foul.
