And I’d think even a child would know you cannot inject disinfectant into a person to kill viruses in them. When the first 2 ideas that come from your mouth are so wrongheaded as to be lethal, maybe you should refrain from talking about medicine. It’s even worse because he was talking to the experts BEFORE the press was there, and a responsible person would have asked those questions there, instead of on live TV. A lot of people watching at home don’t know that those things are dangerous. In fact, so many people believed his ignorant rant that Lysol had to publish a warning online. You don’t spitball insane ideas on live TV because there are a lot of people who don’t know better. It’s beyond reckless. Trump clearly doesn’t mind showing everybody how idiotic he is, but it’s the disregard for public safety that is the worst aspect of his repeated false statements about the virus. Multiple people still defending this insanity in July 2021 is proof of how deep the cult of personality is when it comes to Trump. He can literally do no wrong with his supporters.

Fat asses should have been reminded constantly that not being a fat ass will be the best way to reduce the harmful impact of covid if they contracted it You do not realize the power that the democrats now bath in. We have sacrificed lives in this country for far greater threats than covid. We have done it to perseve freedom. The lives saved by staying home will pale in comparison to the freedom we will lose by allowing the dems to gain more control. Eventually Republicans will use it to their advantage as well If staying home was so necessary to save lives, then why stop at covid? Instill a national curfew besides for emergencies and work. Ban alcohol and tobacco. Ban any chemically laced food. Those are all bad for us and kill tons of people. Why are they exempt but covid gets a special exemption to allow us to be pushed around by politicians?

For an idea to become a reality it typically starts with a divergent process (brainstorming) and ends with a convergent process (implementation). They are very different skills and few people can do both extremely well, because to do so requires two types of personalities. It is why so many entrepreneurs get replaced as CEOs once the company makes it. Trump is a divergence guy; he thrives in the chaos of the chase, the deal. Implementation is anathema to him. Invention, by definition, creates something which had never been done before. So there is a default level of “bat-sh*t crazy” that goes with it, at least the revolutionary ideas. That doesn’t make him bad or good, just different than most people, because he appears so far down the divergence extreme, and most of us live near the middle. I think his complete lack of convergence is what rubs many people the wrong way: the need for order, for process. I think I’m maybe onto something here…. Which is not unusual. You are an implementer, there is nothing wrong with that, most people lean that way. I must admit that I struggle to empathize with your position as well. Particularly for the light idea: could we harness the light/Vitamin D benefits in some “supercharged” way within the body. I think it is an interesting idea. I honestly can’t see how one can look at that idea and draw your conclusion. Then again I’m not an expert in that specific field. I’m guessing you aren’t either. 1

KSB2424 3,174 Posted July 8, 2021 I have not read this thread. 1. Pretty sure the knock at the door is just an in person advertisement to sway you to get vaccinated and not a "let me see your papers" knock at the door. 2. With that said. Everyone HATES door to door salesman. Not to mention the mere optics of saying as much. Horrible move. ETA: I always use the same excuse when a door to door salesman comes by. No matter the time of day, I always say: "Sorry, my family just sat down for dinner so I don't have time to talk, thank you and good luck". My favorite is when I said that and it was a Saturday at 3:00pm and my boys were shooting basketball in the driveway. He got it.
