Kremlin was hit by a Ukrainian drone strike in a Putin assassination attempt.  I mean that right there could justify a nuclear strike on Ukraine, the UK and the US, especially if it killed some top-level people in the Russian government.  That's how close we are to WW3.  it doesnt really matter if Ukraine denies or not, Russia as nukes and is judge, jury and executioner.

It's so weird. Why would Ukraine send a very poorly armed drone 400 miles to Moscow - for a small fireworks.?.

Considering all the sabotage derailed trains in recent weeks inside Russia... I wonder if it wasn't a cheap anti-war activist stunt. Would explain how the drone got so close to Kremlin so easy.

I doubt smuggling a drone into Moscow would be terribly complicated for a motivated enough Ukrainian task force.

Disinformation and accusations are everywhere, meanwhile everyone involved will deny involvement anyways, so who knows?

Yeah, that didn't look like an assasination attempt.

you are making a perfection fallacy.  you assume that nations make the perfect and most efficient decisions at all times, such that any decision that looks terrible or bizarre must be ignored.  yes, nations CAN make terrible decisions in war and its not a reason to dimiss it out of hand.

but again, thats beside the point.  There is no courtroom to determine intent or guilt.  Putin is judge, jury and executioner.  If he decides it was an assassination attempt, he gets to choose to nuke the US and serving him a court summons isnt going to do a thing.

thats why is a REALLY bad idea to get involved in a huge war with a nuclear-armed nation.  any mistake can make the world burn.  this has been run wrong from the jump.

admiral john kirby was on msnbc trying to make a case that the US was not involved in the kremlin strike.  again, that appearance by kirby doesnt do anything.  Putin can decide it was an assassination attempt and fire nukes.  its like they arent getting it.  putin does not have to provide evidence.  its not a courtroom.

Just trying to make sense of who did it. Anti-war Russians and Ukraine-supporting Russians, seem the most likely suspects.

As for "Putin can launch nukes for any reason..."  Putin does whatever keeps him in power. If launching nukes does that, then it's nukes away - such as a foreign military banging down Moscow's door.

In the current situation, launching nukes would expedite Putin's remaining time in office.

Putin now has 'no option' but to use tactical NUKES in Ukraine to cripple Kyiv's counter-offensive, says Kremlin's ex space agency chief who is now serving on the front line

Dmitry Rogozin - a former deputy prime minister - called for use of tactical nukes

His alarming statements come just one day after a drone attack on the Kremlin

By WILL STEWART

PUBLISHED: 08:43 EDT, 4 May 2023 | UPDATED: 10:08 EDT, 4 May 2023

A prominent Russian politician who once commanded Russia's Space Agency has said Vladimir Putin now has 'no option' but to use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Dmitry Rogozin - the former head of Roscosmos who also served as deputy prime minister - declared that Moscow is facing defeat in its war with Kyiv unless the dictator unleashes his atomic weapons in a recent video.

'It must be said that under our doctrine we have every right to use tactical nuclear weapons,' said Rogozin, who was dressed in military fatigues with a customised AK-47 assault rifle slung over his shoulder.

'That is precisely what they are there for — this great equaliser.

'For now, there is a clear disparity in the forces and conventional weapons in favour of the enemy,' he said, pointing to the West's support of Ukraine's war effort.

'Therefore the best method to destroy [Ukraine's] counter-offensive is to use tactical nuclear weapons, with understandable consequences, of course.

'I think there is no other option at the moment.'

Rogozin's alarming statements come just one day after the Kremlin suffered a drone strike in what some believe was an assassination attempt on Putin.

Russia thought they would be in Kiev in a couple weeks, they are 500 miles away a year later. They have lost around 20% of what they took. Russia military planners keep falling out of windows and falling on knives.

Pretty good for losing.

MAGAturds also believe that Russia would not have invaded if Trump were president, because Russia is oh so scared of him.

Quite the opposite, really. Russia had it great under Trump and couldn't wait for him to get re-elected and pull us out of NATO.

Putin had Trump eating the peanuts out of his borscht-smelling sh!t.

Well if that's true it doesn't seem like Trump's strategy was so bad after all.  There would be no war and no wasted millions of dollars, but you go on supporting your Democrat overlords that you think are doing such a bang-up job.

The House speaker - a Republican - said four days ago that he supports aid for Ukraine, as do other Republicans.

MAGAturds are the only ones saying we shouldn't support Ukraine.

Had Trump pulled us out of NATO, Putin would be after a lot more than Ukraine, and the you'd have World War III.

This is more like German attacking Poland than it is Vietnam.

But keep listening to your loony-bin infotainment sources, regardless of facts, history and common sense.

I like when you pretend to be a historian.  It's cute.  Just so you know, you lost all credibility when you suggested that Trump would ever have pulled us out of NATO.  That's just dumb and uninformed.  A close second is drawing any comparison to Nazi Germany.  Two entirely different worlds.

Stick to the Morning Joe Talking Points.  After all, you can't argue with emotion.

this is a very dangerous moment in history.  The Russian people are getting extremely upset that the Russian government continues to take these attacks, especially the one on Moscow.  They are demanding Russia strike the US at this point.  Putin has whipped up a fever pitch to nuke the US right now.  The us media is not reporting this.  This is a very very VERY bad month.  Please stay safe.

Putin has been a voice of restraint in all of this, trying to keep this a war between Ukraine and Russia.  But I think time and patience is running out.  Hardliners might oust Putin if he does not nuke the US soon.

however you want to handle it.

the biggest danger is if Putin feels he is about to get ousted if he doesn't nuke the US.  And that is a very real danger.  If Ukraine goes out on a major offensive to take Crimea, the pressure to nuke from the public may become overwhelming.

Everybody wants to go to war with america. It's a great deal. Look what we did for japan, Germany,  vietnam, Korea, hell, we spent 3 trillion dollars in Afghan.

Of course the Russians want to go to war with us. Theyre poor as hell and we took away all their fast food joints.

I just wish we'd Declare war on Detroit.

Russian media host demands Russia use nukes on London, Paris, Berlin and Washington in defiance on Putin's stance of holding back.  And you can be sure the media host is under pressure from his listeners to take that position.

Russian Radio Host Pressures Putin to Change View of Nuclear Weapons

BY JON JACKSON ON 5/10/23 AT 12:30 PM EDT

A prominent Russian television and radio host called nuclear war "inevitable" while discussing Russia's conflict in Ukraine before suggesting that Moscow use its nuclear weapons to give an "ultimatum" to Ukraine's allies.

Vladimir Solovyov, a well-known broadcaster and staunch supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin, called on Moscow to directly threaten countries that support Ukraine with a nuclear strike.

Solovyov believes Putin should take a harder line, according to recent comments he made on his radio show Polniy Kontakt (Full Contact) that were shared online by Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry.
