Notice the first thing I said was that they offered no proof of innocence.  And I reread the link that the above post was responding to in order to refamiliarize myself with the case in question.  And I remember that case now.  But implicit in any discussion of a person being wrongly convicted is the FACT that the state made a persuasive argument to a jury of the convicted's peers that they were guilty.  In that post, I was noting that his own attorneys have said they thought he was guilty.  What their motivations were for making those statements doesn't really matter to me.  They may or may not be biased.  Doesn't really matter.  The point of that tangent was to discuss whether this guy was wrongly convicted, and everyone involved with the trial seems to think it was a good verdict, other than the convict.

He's and the state of Florida are about to get spanked. Disney can afford the best lawyers in the world, guys that the state usually hires aren't.  Plus, add to that all the costs the state is going to incur to pay to defend, IMO, totally unconstitutional actions, what a waste.

In the last year since this thread was started, Disney has fired its CEO, laid off 7k people, it’s stock fell in double digits, it’s had a few gigantic bombs at the box office, and  lost millions of subscribers.  And there’s an excuse for all of it. Mostly peaceful.
