This is the Daily Wire's delve into gender ideology. They released it last night and had a DoS attack on their website to try to interrupt its release.  I'm not gonna purchase a membership to watch.  I would really like to see all the footage unedited.  No matter who is editing, I'm skeptical about editing.  But I would imagine some of these whack jobs are entirely like this in real life. Here's the trailer and a few interesting clips.

a lot of this went on in the USSR.  The main newspaper, Pravda, translates into Truth, but was anything but.  Newspapers, TVs, etc all were 100% advertisements promoting the regime.  The people knew it, but were basically enslaved by the radical left and could do nothing.  Shortages and high prices kept the people in line, although the black market run by the mafia slowly undercut the system.  If that sounds all too familiar, yeah thats what is happening in the US today.

Had a chance to watch the whole thing tonight.  It was pretty scary listening to how professors at large institutions actual actual MDs view this stuff, especially when it comes to kids.  The biggest whacko is actually a dean at the Brown University School of Medicine.  

The big take away is that the whole gender ideology thing is much bigger than actual gender, trans rights, etc.  It's about progressives refuting objective truths. Objective truth essentially leaves these people powerless. Sadly, they're using kids and a vulnerable population to prove their point.

I watched this yesterday.  It was interesting (even had some history included), and kinda funny, and yes some of those people are crazy.

But at the end it kinda felt like a 90 minute commercial for his children's book.

Also I don't believe he ever gave his own opinion on what a woman is (although at least he got his wife's answer at the end)?  Also the one interview with the college professor I think it was was a little cringey where they were both answering each other's questions with more questions.  It was weird IMO that Walsh seemed annoyed when the other guy was kinda avoiding the questions, but he was doing the same thing.

Might you recall some of the events that transpired before the official start of the American Civil War? Do you assume it simply started with the firing on Ft Sumpter?

Thanks.  So it was the same answer his wife gave at the end (which I assume was from a script although I'm sure she agrees with him).

Interestingly, although clips from that interview were played, that part of it was not (I just checked).   He alluded to things like "gender is the same as sex," but I don't believe he ever made a concrete statement like that in the film.

He was born with XY chromazones, and a nutsack deformity.  Not his fault he was assigned the wrong sex at birth, but at least they figured it out.

You're good at that.  Just passing over the macro larger issue at hand to pick out some small micro inconsitency that means little to the topic.  Some call that "Not seeing the forest for the trees".  Others call that a Red Herring.  Either way 9 times out of 10 that person can't back their postition and resorts to misdirections such as those.  So I'll be extremely direct:

I had already given my macro opinion, was just adding an additional comment.  I thought it wasn’t bad, but it in part seemed like a long commercial for his children’s book, and as noted I was surprised Walsh did not clearly give his opinion of what a woman was in the film.  But yeah, I’d probably agree with his definition. I think trans is a thing, but those are trans women and not simply women.  Honestly based on his interview with the person who had the surgery complications, he didn’t seem to think being trans was a mental disorder or whatever the claim is of some here, but moreso that it doesn’t make you a woman, even if you spend a lot of money on surgeries.
