The best grill out there.

20 times a year???!!!    What's wrong with you?    That's about what I do in a month.    Even in winter.    I keep my back deck shoveled off of snow mostly just so I can continue to use my grills. . .

Between what I grill and then the leftovers - I probably eat something that's been grilled (or has something that's been grilled in it) 5-6 nights/week.

I grilled more before my wife quit work, but now that she is a stay at home mom she does the cooking.

It is easier for me not to grill.

Reading through this, I wouldn't be surprised if Weber didn't stop being manufactured in the US and has some cheap crap facility in China or Mexico or somewhere these days.

We just bought this today based on, somewhat, the above detailed recommendation.  :D  And @remote controller's OP as well, but we got the 590.  We don't have a grill at the new house and have wanted a pellet one.  The impetus is that we will be without a kitchen stove for about a month during our current remodel (starting this weekend).

Wife liked the features of RT vs. the Tragers -- basically the fine temperature control and dual probes (heh heh...) vs. the pre-set apps/recipes.

Should come next week.  Will report.

I bet you’ll love it.

That's about the only acceptable answer.     As a grill god, I am in a position to absolve you of your sins.      I grant you pardon.   Recite 3 grilling recipes over your grill and say "amen" after each and you shall be saved.

I just grilled hamburgers on my Weber Genesis propane grill.  Still works and looks great.  I seasoned the beef with Omaha Steaks steak seasoning and black pepper, melted 2 slices of cheese, ketchup, pickles and a baked potato with butter, salt and pepper.  I also won the Oh Hell card game over lunch at work today!  No I don't work at McDonald's, BK, or any other etc. fast food joints, haha.

Weber Genesis I got 10 years ago. Works like a champ. Keep it covered and clean it but that’s about it.

Had to replace the pieces just below the grill this year as they got funky other than that zero issues and heats up to 425 in a few minutes no problem.

No this isn't for those massive cookouts, but for everyday quick meals, it's hard to beat.  Cooks on low at 200, and tops out on Riot Mode at about 750.  Fits all weber kettle 22" accessories.

RT-B380 Bullseye Wood Pellet Grill – recteq.  I got mine the week before the 4th to replace my original Bullseye.  Procrastinated and did my initial burn in on the 3rd and nothing happened.  I called and of course it was Sunday, left a message, then expected a call on Tuesday the 5th.  I had a Rep call me and get me running on the 4th of July!!  Can't beat it for the money and as efficient of a grill as you can buy.

We love the RT 590.  By "we" I mean my wife uses it and I eat the meat from it.  I don't have a wealth of experience with others to compare, but:  app is easy, good temp control and range, easy to load and has never clogged.  Just made chicken breasts on low temp, juice pours out.  Shrimp also cooked perfectly, both with great smoke flavor.  Beef and pork of course take on the smoke flavor.

It's not for searing stuff, but if you want the smokiness this line is great.

We recently got rid of our gas/propane grill and started using only our Traeger.

I love it, so simple even I can use it. Use it probably 4 nights out of 7, more in the summer.

Added a 36” Blackstone last weekend and it was fairly easy and well put together.  She takes some care though. I seasoned / conditioned her five times on Sunday before actually heating any meat.  It was good, but high maintenance.

Not much after the first season.  Just scrape and clean after use.

I have been thinking my next grill might be a blackstone.   Like the idea of a flat top.  And I was surprised that they weren't as expensive as I expected them to be

I bought one two days ago and it is sitting in my garage waiting to be assembled. You don't like it?

It’s different which makes it fun.  Still need a more traditional grill for bone in meats like wings.

Im a simple griller.  brats, burgers, steaks etc.   So for me I don't need anything too complicated.  If I want wings, I have used my air fryer and it works well.

Also the best chain.

My son in law actually built one for him in the Detroit area.  It failed however.

The maintenance has been my reason for not owning one.

blackstone is a griddle, not a grill.  It's basically a frying pan.

You’re so smart. Thanks for pointing that out. How else would we have known?

There's one in every crowd.   Kids, don't be "That Guy"

I worked in a restaurant as a cook in college, spent many an evening over what we called The Flat Top Grill. It was huge and gas powered.  We did have a little griddle you plugged in (electricity).  Either way, semantics.....

Exactly. The only problem is getting rid of the old one every few years.

Wait, what? I've had a Genesis Silver for over 20 years. Thing still works like a champ. And I'm in CA, grilling season is 12 months a year.

I was talking about buying a lower level grill. They don’t last, but cook just as well as the expensive gas ones.

If you are just doing that I'll give it 18 months to live.  Sorry for your loss.

I'm planning on getting the flat top insert for my Weber.  But first, I am going to get the rotisserie, then the basket attachment for the rotisserie.  Gonna be cooking some mad potatoes and veggies this summer!

Oh, I thought you were knocking Webers in general.

MDC doesn’t have a grill. Sometimes he plugs in the George Foreman and makes believe.

Used the Blackstone tonight.  Boneless Pork Chops on one side and zucchini, squash and onions on the other side of the flat top.  The great thing about the flat top is all the juices stay above level.  Wife made homemade mashed potatoes to compliment. Kids loved it which is hard to do.

I did overcook the pork a bit, still learning the new equipment. :dunno:

Bone in Ribeyes and asparagus on the Weber summit tonight.  Got a nice char on both.  Perfection.

To be fair, its hard to grill outside when the train above the 4x6 backyard has rust raining down on your food.
